Preview/Scouting Report

Since we played them last Tuesday the Sacramento Kings lost a double overtime thriller to the Clippers and on Friday night lost at home to Minnesota. Ron Artest missed both games and Kevin Martin missed the Clippers game.

We were able to overcome a sloppy and sluggish first three plus quarters and come away with the victory at Arco Arena on Tuesday. Instead of the usual cowbells, the Sacramento crowd closed the game by chanting M-V-P for Kobe. That is a sure sign that things are not normal in Sacramento.

Ron Artest hasn't played at all in Sacramento's last two games because of a sore right foot. The injury comes the same week Artest was fined by the Kings after making comments deemed "detrimental" to the team.

The Kings have lost five straight road games, including 116-109 in double overtime to the Clippers at Staples Center on Wednesday.

need this win, open up seperation in the west.

Heck every win is important. Just ask the Suns... they were #1 a couple a weeks ago and now are dropping like a brick. Wins like this are good insurance with the hornets, rockets, mavs and jazz games on the road.

on the joe mcdonald show on wed night, joe grande read an internal memo that steve kerr had distributed to the players and staff, justifying his trade...it was about encouraging players that it needs time for a new player to adjust to a team(shaq), etc.
plain and simple kerr was covering his booty on his trade for big cactus
he knew he screwed up letting his stat filler go
i know its still kind of early, we'll see sunday when the team that shaq was brought in for plays them...the spurs
should be fun

We should win this one.
We have some tough ones coming upon the road. Gotta have this type of home games.
Sacramento played us tough a few dys ago. I cannoT stand Miller. He hacked Kobe a few times in the last game. Time to return the favor.

No reason not to win this game. Artest being out should also make things easier. I hope they don't need 46 minutes to solidify the win like last time though.

p.s.: I'm not a vengeful type of guy and am not the biggest fan of mano-a-mano situations, but I hope Bryant shows Salmons who the man is tonight. Especially after listening to Sacramento's announcers talking about how great a job he did on Bryant for 3 quarters last time. :)

Go Lakers!

We gotta play like we did in the 3rd quarter last game. If we can keep that intensity for a whole game we can beat anyone.

We need to run them off the floor tonight. Lakers by 23. Kobe and Pow-Pow sits the whole 4th quarter.

OT: I didnt want to open a thread for this so I will just ask here. Two part question.

1. how many rings can the lakers win with Kobe running the show?

2. how many rings can the lakers win with Kobe playing second fiddle to Bynum?

Whats the total number of rings?

Keep in mind I fully expect Bynum, Gasol and Kobe to finish thier careers with the lakers.
