Chris Duhon Again?

Post#1 » by milesfides » Wed Mar 12, 2008 10:23 pm

Clearly Duhon's going to be available this summer.

I'm expecting he's going to get substantially less than the MLE from most teams. Regardless of our tax situation, he's worth double of whatever chump change he's going to get.

Considering he's a capable defensive point guard, shouldn't we be interested in this guy?

I was also wondering what we should do when Fisher retires. But maybe we should get him if there is no one better. IMO hes not used properly in Chicago and he's more than capable of doing what Fisher is doing right now in the triangle. He still doesnt replace farmar though

I'd consider duhon depending on what happens w/ Sasha.

considering how well Mitch is pulling trades, I'd be happy for a sign and trade with the bulls

Any player who gives 110%, plays great defense, is a winner and is a floor leader should be welcome to play for the Lakers, and Chris Duhon is all of those things.

:nonono: not you miles....why?????
why the question mark at the end of a non question?
I expect that from FOX news, but not from you miles. you are better than that.

as far as the topic- let's sign the machine and Turiaf first then worry about anybody else.

I like Duhon but he's not a need. I'd rather draft a young combo guard.

Right on miles, anyone who doesn't think PG is still our biggest worry is being delusional. Neither Fisher nor Farmar have been able to defend to save their lives over the past few games.

you'd think so, but you'd be wrong?

agreed, but I think it'll cost Buss chump change even with the luxury tax to sign Duhon.

Especially considering Duhon is so strapped for cash he's doing this:

Yep. Love the idea of Duhon. If we could get him for 2-3 mil a year he'd definetly be worth it. We're really lacking defense at PG, and he seems to bring it.

Is Duhon's value any higher or lower than when he was a RFA? He didn't get good offers back then either.

Steve Blake came off an impressive season with the Nuggets and still was an unwanted commodity in the free agency so Duhon's value being as low as it is now, I can see the Cavs/Knicks/Heat make a play for him and even then I wouldn't expect him to get any more than 2 mil per season.
