Lakers looking to add Newble or Green

[size=92]The Lakers are considering signing Ira Newble, 33 year old defensive specialist recently waived by Seattle. Newble would add that defensive tenacity that the team is missing since Trevor Ariza went down. I think it makes sense for both parties, and would like to see it get done. Trevor Ariza is progressing, but his foot is still in a boot and we have a month left in the season. Newble would make a nice insurance policy, as the Lakers have an open roster spot and wouldn

Newble might be able to contribute right away, Green has soo much raw talent it would be hard to pass on him. You never know playing with the most intense player in the league might have a postitve effect on Green. I guess I go for Green.

Release Coby Karl and sign both?

I know Coby is a crowd favorite, but heck I think Mike Penberthy was too....

Sign Newble. He can help in the playoffs. Green is just a project.

i think you go with Green< dude has loads of raw talent. Bynum had this same ability but had a lot to prove and this franchise and community around it will push this kid to work..

MJ was good at making people around him look good too, Kobe does it as well as Lebron. So I'm in favor of saying lets sign Green because Kobe will push him to the next level.

Chris Mihm should be coming back soon. So we'll be alright there. Now with pau going down. I think we need to sign newble asap and use lamar at the 4.

Go for Gerald Green. Considering we almost took him over Bynum, it's a no brainer to bring him in and see what he can do with the Lakers. The Lakers have been excellent at developing young players - keep it going!
