OT - Sports Illustrated Is Opening Their Archives

On Thursday, the magazine will introduce the Vault, a free site within SI.com that contains all the words Sports Illustrated has ever published and many of the images, along with video and other material, in a searchable database.


I hope they have the covers too... there are a couple of issues I have magic retiring, the one w/ kobe and magic on it, phil w/ the crystal ball, kobe going for 81.....

thats awesome. SI has been the best thing in sports before the mega blitz of sports television stations and sports publications.

Growing up SI was the only mag that mattered (OK I lied, those mags you kept under the mattress might had mattered more.)

I still got two old SI mags in frames in my room, "together again" with shaq and kobe on the cover. And "its over" with shaq and kobe on the cover. Those are classics.
