So, I was informed by the league office that the NBA DOES NOT voluntarily release its opinion or analysis about controversial judgment calls. The offensive foul ref Bob Delaney called on Monta Ellis is considered a judgment call. The NBA only volunteers its analysis for specific rules violations or in serious circumstances.
The league does, however, share its findings on controversial calls when a member of the media asks. So I asked. And Stu Jackson answered.

The refs better not give Fish the calls when it comes to the playoffs just because they think he's flopping.

If anything guys like Bell, Barbosa, and Diaw are bigger floppers.

We all knew it was Fisher, there was no need for Stu's approval.

my take on this is that Stu has gotten many things wrong before, so the question should been put to the ref that made the call. what did the ref see that made him blow the whizzle? did he see Monta pushing Fisher first?


sometimes I wish that it was like in the old days when tv did not have the technology for instant replay. the refs where not questioned as much and you didn't have millions of non paid refs making the call. every body just respected the refs and lived with the calls.

Ellis also pushed Fisher a bit. Just just put his hand on Eliss back, but Monta pushed him down !

Stu Jackson ?! Who's he ? Does his opinion change something ?

The game is done and over already. Wipe your eyes and move on.

Even though bad calls happen every game. Add: Games are always decided around 3-9 pts. Add: Bad calls has a cumulative effect at games between 5-10 pts that gives an advantage to a single team. Minus: Fans accepting basketball as a sport rather than entertainment (for which it is). Add: Officiating used as a escape goat for any losing team and ignored by fans of the winning team until their next loss, and complain on bad officiating making them a bit of a hypocrite. Minus: Integrity of the NBA. Add: NBA will one day become wrestling in a sense that it's entertainment and officials will decide the match. Minus: NBA being below NFL, Nascar, MLB, UFC as a result of the game being poorly viewed by Americans as a whole. Add: More rules you implement, more problems you'll receive in the game. Note: More regulations in the government, more bottlenecks.

fisher doesn't flop anymore than anyother player in the league. the suns,mavs,warriors,and spurs are the worst. heck i even see shaq trying to take charges since he has been with phoenix. stu needs to just shut up and keep collecting his check,for doing nothing to help the league.

Totally agree....acting like they've never gotten any calls their way..happens all the time in this league. We got lucky the other night so get over it.

stu jackson is a disgrace, he is the head of officiating, for those who dont know...

remember, kobe's "unnatural" basketball move, that got him suspended last year?

same thing has happened about a dozen times since, by other players, no suspensions, nothing.

he is an ass, and ive told him so before via e-mail.

A call going either way would have been devastating to the team that got the call... but the game is done, over with. We all have our opinions, that makes us human... but some need to learn to keep their mouths shut dealing with certain topics that either escalate a bad situation or has no value, which this is.

It was a horrible call, I think that itt should of been a no call, but still. Stu can't say nothing about nobody.

Warrior fans still crying about this? jeez, get a life.
