The Enigma that is the Lakers' Defense

Our defense is our biggest question mark. There are times where our defense blows like the Portland game. Then there are times like the 2nd half yesterday where we play stifiling defense. What's the deal? Why can't we play consistent defense. Yesterday Fisher was like a prime Gary Payton, Pau was playing the best D of his career on Duncan, Kobe was the leader on the defense, and Lamar was the rebounding monster. They made Vlad's deficiencies almost seem non-existent.

one thing that gets on my nerves is that the lakers double team everyone and anyone.

I think in the playoffs they'll play tight D because they'll focus all 48 mins, their kind of cursing through the season on the defensive end

We play pretty good defense on teams that are not as athletic as the Warriors or Portland, those teams have athletes on there roster, and we can't keep up with them athleticly.

WTF is the deal with that????

Fisher, Farmar, Sasha, Kobe and sometimes Lamar all have the strangest tendencies to sag off excellent 3 point shooters to double team someone who is not even a threat.... Farmar and Sasha seem to do this the most....

Even if their man has hit like 3 or 4 threes they will still sag off of him to help someone else... That **** is so frustrating!

How about the half/full-court press that always seems to end up with a layup and one for the other team.
