This is a little off topic, but i did not want to start a new thread. This is how a Boston fan sees the lakers and who should get the MVP this year!! (from the boston board) Cheers

In a way it's good. I just couldn't take losing to the Lakers. I just can;t stand the Lakers. It hurts to say that we aren't in the same league as them.

And I'm not just saying this now because we are losing. I said this right after the Lakers stole Pau Gasol from Memphis.

The main difference between the Lakers and us is that:

1. The Lakers have a superstar. A player who steps up every game and steps up in the 4th quarter. Kobe is a real MVP like Lebron, KG is a poser.

2. The Lakers have a very good coach. We have Doc. :noway:

3. The Lakers big 3 is better than ours. Gasol, Odom, and Kobe are just better.

This is really hard for me to say these things and may be harder for some Celtic fans to accept. I would have been bashed a few fews ago for saying this, but I don't know too many people that can disagree now.

It is too soon too talk about the draft? Because we can really use a beast like Joey Dorsey right about now.

It's over. Even if we somehow find a way to beat the Hawks, there is no way we will make it to the finals. 22 years and counting without a title.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration - if they meet in the Finals (and there's still a long road ahead that probably involves the Spurs and Jazz) it's not like LA will walk over Boston. Their problem - and I said this in the beginning - is that their coach isn't very good and their big 3 are much older. 40 minutes a game had to wear them down - and if they end up in a couple of dog fights in the East it will absolutely have an effect on them in the Finals.

We'll see - my hunch is that they'll be left standing in the east when the dust settles.

1.Kobe
2.Gasol
3.Luke
4.Odom
5.Fish

But really everyone on our squad had a good series. I just thought I'd throw Fish some props for the consistency he brings on defense. AI may have averaged a boatload of points, but fish didn't bend over like Smush Parker would have.

1. Kobe - best player in the NBA and for shutting up when the season started and for believing in the team
2. Bynum - initial spark for showing Kobe this team can contend
3. Gasol - Perfect piece of the puzzle when the Big guy went down.
4. LO - perfect 3rd option role, underrated, showing some consistancy
5. Fish - Veteran leadership

Just saying that Bynum's improved play showed Kobe this team can play. The rest of the bench just added to it. Also mitch made excellent moves trading for Ariza and Gasol.

If Bynum faulted just a little in the early season, then Kobe would have still be demanding a trade secretly IMO.
