back to the broadcast booth!

i gotta admit...its tempting to dig up old all-star break posts claiming phoenix would rape the spurs and win the title

So it seems like the Spurs match up pretty well with the Hornets...

Is this the end of the NO Cinderella story or not?

On paper it seems like the Spurs have better players at each of NOs strong points.

I kinda want Hornets to come out on top...I think your really going to see the age in the Spurs in this matchup...I think hornets in 6...too athletic

I'd love to see the Hornets win, but the Spurs are too experienced and have too many weapons. Their age shows during the regular season, when they have to use more bodies. But there's nothing old about their core, especially with extra days between games to let Duncan recharge his batteries.

Three main factors that I think are heavily in San Antonio's favor:

1. Popovich is going to be able to limit Paul with Bowen, who for my money is still the best perimeter defender in the league.

2. Chandler doesn't have the savvy to stay out of foul trouble and stay on the court enough to give Duncan problems.

3. The Hornets have no one to guard Ginobili.

If West and Stojakovic have a monster series, they'll have a shot. But for the most part, I think the Spurs are going to be able to slow Paul down enough to advance.

honestly its no big deal for NO to beat dallas, dallas has been a pretty average team ever since jason kidd, and they just arent so tough. so i think spurs can take them out easily with 1 or 2 hard games. im predicting lakers spurs for conf.
