I noticed him there too...but that doesn't mean offer him a roster spot.

not to mention there's a salary cap in the nba.

They may be close but we're pretty set at SG right now with Kobe, Machine, and Ariza...

Things we might need this off season:

A Center who plays big, hopefully as a backup for Bynum
A SF who can gaurd quick PFs, SFs, and the ocasional big SG
And maybe a solid quick defensive PG

ric bucher spoke on this a little while back. kobe has alot of friends in the league and he is way more well liked than the media thought a few years ago. i was happy to see kobe include the team in his speech.

EARL WATSON

I agree basically with all that, but I think this team has moved to a more elite level at this point and Kwame might not be the best solution...

Although he could match the physicality of Boozer and Perkins at the very least... He might even be able to manhandle thim a little bit...

Walton and Ariza are great, but Ariza is too small to gaurd a fast PF like Amare, and Walton is too slow to gaurd the more athletic SFs in the league. I think this is the one position where we might be looking for a legitimate starter on a championship caliber team. Odom has been pretty impressive so far though so maybe we're OK.

Earl Watson may be the answer at PG. I really don't know enough about him. We have a deficiency at PG when Fisher gets tired and the opposing PG plays to big for Farmar to handle. Farmar needs to step up this off season or we need to find someone ready to take over for Fisher as he declines.

We have a great team right now so the changes we need aren't huge, but I think we may look to do some tweeking (Not the IE kind... 8) ) this off-season.

what does that have to do with anything? the topic starter asked about andre iguodala, not how many friends kobe has.

Don't take anything into it. Kobe, Maggette, and Iggy ALL have the same Agent.

But then again, what does the agent have to do with anything?

Why wasnt Chris Kaman there? How about Gerald Wallace? WHy no Mirris Peterson? Maybe they were all partying with Channing Frye at the time, who also didnt make it, regardless of the fact that they all have the same agent.

BTW, exact quote from Bryant's press conference:

"Im just very honored and very blessed for them (his family) to be here. You know, seeing my kids sitting there in the front row, my agent Rob Pelinka, and my friends from the league, and my teammates, and the man who brought me here to the league Jerry West...."
