Contain Kobe? That's crazy talk...

But I want to see 2 things in game 2...

1. Boozer on his ass in the first half
2. Boozer on his ass in the second half

Mbenga has 6 fouls and a black belt.... Use them.

There are defenders who give Kobe probems. The Jazz unfortunately do not have that defender on there team.

1. Celtics - Team defense

2, Rockers - Shane Battier

3 Cavs - Lebron

4. Pistons - Ta Prince

I don't recall Kobe having any problem with the Cavs and particularly with Lebron and as far as I can recollect, Lebron doesn't even guard him much of the time, it was either Larry Hughes or someone else. The Cavs do have a good team defense but there isn't particularly anyone on that team that I'd call a spectacular defender.

I agree about Shane Battier though and Tay Prince along with Detroit's efficient zone and traps troubled Kobe when we had bad shooters and cutters, he's shaken that off this season anyway.

Nope, I've never seen him in person, but I bet he is intimidating... Although I've never been that impressed with the usual BBall player 9' tall and 140lb physique... Check out some of the linemen prospects at the NFL Combine... They're like 6'10"/360 and can dunk as well as run a 4 sec 40...

But the black-belt thing is pretty amazing... You got a guy who's 7'+ and 258 with a black-belt (In judo right?)... And there really aren't a whole lot of folks that he has to be afraid of...

I want Boozer to try to push him out of bounds like he did Gasol and Turiaf... Just once...

In other news the sky is blue, grass is green and there's a primary going on.

I just as soon they don't try and guard him on the perimeter, let him have all the jumpers he wants, Lord know that if you try and guard him he just ends up on the freebie stripe...

43 to 16........... :noway: :noway:

I hope that evens out some in utah.

Tell your team to play some defense ....

That should solve the problem at the F.T line .

i knew someone would question this the minute i read "lebron" on bscott's take.

lebron gave kobe nothing in the 4th quarter of this season's meeting at staples. NOTHING. Now with that being said, it doesn't mean Lebron can do it over a course of a entire game but...

He was defended quite well that day.

Jazz are having a hard time containing KObe, and honestly i think he will just find other means to destroy the double, triple, and if they decide to go one on one. Kobe has involved his team and therefore, you cant just stop him. as sloan said he would have to put his entire team around kobe. Kobe always finds a way to torment his defender. Harpring is the only player i know that still holds tight with his defense on Kobe, despite some reaches and hard fouls. Kobe will still attack.

wait, wait....MBENGA has a black belt? what the hell!!!! dang, put him on boozer, and let gasol handle memo. if booz wants to use his forearms to push people in the back, it will be another story if its against MBENGA> dont mess with Didier's tacos!

With the exception of the DHowards of the world... Aren't they all...

Much love to Gasol and all, but you put a straw hat on him and you'd never see another crow within 10 miles of Staples...

you mean Newble, Lebron only guards Kobe in 4th quater after Kobe is tired from defending Lebron the first 3 quater.

You may be right about Kobe being tired from guarding Lebron the first 3 quarters, Lebron averaged 37ppg vs the Lakers this year. 33 points in Cleveland and 41 in Staples.

You might want to change your excuse...
