Post#1 » by Kreuk » Wed May 7, 2008 7:40 pm

- Kobe demands to be traded

- Buss says he'll try to accommodate Bryant's trade request

- Cook and Mo. Evans are traded for Trevor Ariza

- Bynum emerges

- Sasha's emerges

- the Lakers acquire Pau Gasol for Kwame/ Crittenton

- Mitch goes from the league's worst GM to one of the best

- The Lakers are projected to be an 8th seed/ not even make the playoffs at all and finish as the No. 1 seed in the West

- The Lakers sweep the Nuggets

- Kobe wins MVP

- Kobe says he wants to be a Laker for life

What a difference a season makes...

This season truly proves the old adage correct: winning, does in fact cure all.

Btw Kobot, Kobe said he wanted to be "a Laker for life" exactly the same time he demanded the trade, too.

i actually predicted that the LAKERs would win the championship this year, 2 YEARS AGO! the reason being, that was the time I had estimated for bynums game to come around and develop his game.

the truth, bynum didnt come around but got injured, and we replaced him with pau.

but hey, the result is the same. hehehe

I always did trust Buss and the Lakers organization so it's not exactly shocking to me. He's always been a high-score-or-no-deal kind of owner, and after five years of patiently waiting, something like the Gasol deal was due to be shaken down. Not saying I expected it, I just never expected anything less.
