antawn jamison

any way we can pull him to the lakers?

anyone willing to trade lamar odom for him?

the difference:

lamar is a slightly better rebounder and can bring the ball up the court and shows more versatility

jamison has a more efficient jumper, a decent rebounder and is stronger

both of their defense is about the same

jamison has a bit more star power

odom has already adapted to his role with the lakers, and hes doing well as a 3rd option so far.

personally, i still think lamars game is more fit to the lakers style of play since hes more unselfish, more versatile, and moves the ball more. jamison may be the overall better player but we dont know how he'll adapt to the lakers gameplan...however, jamison has also shown that he is capable to play with 2 other allstars himself (arenas/butler)

quality jumper, nice drive to the hoop.

but the problem with him, and especially the wizards this last run, was rebounding. they were getting killed on the boards against cleveland.

and rebounding, as everyone knows, is a gigantic weakness for this team. although we won the game, not hitting the glass could come back to haunt us in this series.

jamison would NOT add in relieving that area at all.

do we need any more?
i'd rather have odom, all these potential moves are going to come back to money, and whether buss is going to break the bank, i'm guessing not
he'll spend money but not that much

odom all day over twan...

this team does not need offense (the only advantage, however slight, twan has over odom)

I too would rate Jamison a better player, but Odom covers aspects of the game that this team sorely lacks. Rebounding, moving the ball and ball handling.

I would rather have Jamison. Odom has about as much touch around the basket as Frankenstein, and I think it is going to hurt us in these playoffs. And I liked the fire I saw out of Jamison early in the Wizards/Cavs series.

Plus, Odom has struggled at the past in the SF position, where he will be expected to play next year.

Bynum will take up the slack in rebounding when he comes back.

Honestly Iki4life, you are right on most aspects of jamisons game, but his rebounding hasnt been that great. Jamison does have a more consistent J then LO. But its LO's length that gives others fits. I still will keep LO if he is willing to take a decent paycut. When Bynum returns he would shift to the ultimate X-factor. No team will be worrying about him and therefor will get to abuse anyoen that matches up with him. LO has been inconsistent in the past, but without the pressure he actually is doing all the little things and then some on the offensive duties. Starting to be a great 3-4 for our team.

The only thing Antawn does better than Lamar is Score. LO is more versatile. He can rebound, defend, pass, and drive to the hoop.

Plus, isnt Jamison a free agent? That means he's going to want some dinero, which we dont have much of.

^yup that is true, and especially with Agent Zero stating that he wants Jamison back in DC while taking a small pay cut, there isnt really an option to snag him away. Im pretty content with LO as a laker.

Is there any trade value to Odom with his emergence as a 3rd option now? when Bynum comes back I think there would be clean up on boards, Jamison would be more of a natural SF than odom IMO. Gasol would go to PF. Odom's defense would be a liability when guarding the quicker SFs.

I'd move Odom for a PG to back up Fisher, I think Farmar needs another 2-3 yrs to develop. Otherwise Keep Odom. Try to move Walton and Mihm for anything. could we get another 2 for 1 deal like the Ariza deal?

Leave Odom alone stop trying to trade him shish. I mean why do we have to think about trades now. we are in the Playoffs please focus on what we have now before it passes you by. Please mods lock these useless trade threads very annoying this time of year.
