Baron opting out

"After sitting down with the Warriors organization (Thursday) regarding Baron's future, I don't know what direction the Warriors are going," Ramasar said. "Baron is adamant about remaining a Warrior but based on my conversations with the team (Thursday), we have to consider all of his options." well does that means anything in lakerland?

if for some reason we can't sign odom, it might be a possibility... but really stop dreaming of a bynum, gasol, odom, kobe, baron... not going to happen.

Unless Baron feels he's at the point of his career that he just wants to win, and is willing to sign with a contender needing solid PG play for the MLE. You never know.

They should S&T him for Gilbert Arenas or Jason Kidd.

I hope the Blazers don't make a deal for him, that team could be scary good with him running the point..

I don't know about that. To me, Blazers need a pass first point guard like a Nash or Kidd. Baron Davis, although a very good passing guard, isn't a pass first point in the class of Kidd and Nash. Blazers were playing very well this year because they share the ball so well, and they need their new point guard to continue doing that for them. Baron Davis would dominate the ball a bit too much to be that effective in their lineup. Looking at the Warriors this year, they don't always share the ball very well as a team. Most of the time, they just run isolation plays for their mismatched players. As the point guard, Baron Davis has to take some responsibilities for that.

Davis can be a tremendous passer if need be and with Portland's already athletic line up and Brandon Roy's consistent output, the kind of creativity and killer instinct that B-Diddy could add to that team would be awesome.

Id love him. He's just a better version of Fisher. It's extremely unlikely as stated though.

He's a real competitor, but I can't see him in the Lakers uniform next year.
That would've been nice, but ...

Getting Baron would be unbelievable, but I'm not going to go around having high hopes for it because it's highly unlikely he'll sign for the MLE and I'm not sure what kind of deal the Warriors would demand in a sign and trade.

Well we're going to be a free agent magnet this off season so I expect Phil and Mitch to be a little pro-active about the PG issue with Farmar stuck without any progress. Someone like Calderon or even Udrih seems a stretch for the MLE but you never know...
