Brian Shaw fought with Shaq in the locker room?

Post#1 » by milesfides » Tue May 27, 2008 12:43 am

"Shaq was kind of picking on Devean and not taking responsibility. . . . I said, 'If you use the same energy on Malik Rose, boxing out instead of blaming Devean -- and he's not even playing a whole lot to make this kind of difference -- we wouldn't have lost this game.'

"Shaq and Devean had gotten into a physical confrontation and then when I stepped in, it turned into a physical confrontation between Shaq and I.

"So I ended up having skinned-up knees. We ended up wrestling and he kind of dragged me around on the rug."

Boy, am I glad we don't have that kind of locker room atmosphere anymore.

OT Question: does everybody who fights Shaq find success after the NBA?

Scott Skiles - coach
Charles Barkley - analyst
Brian Shaw - assistant coach
Larry Krystkowiak - coach

lol at the OT question.

I'm glad Shaq's long gone. It was worth those 3 horrible years IMO. Now we have a very bright future and will be contenders for years to come. It's becoming more and more apparent that he had a lot more to do with the breakup of the team than people think.

+1 on that.

I've always been a huge fan and staunch supporter of Shaq's, even with the tacky manner in which he left town and then continued to take potshots well after he was gone.

But the more stories like this I read, the harder it is. Just immature and totally unprofessional. I'm hoping I don't hear too many more so I can at least enjoy his jersey retirement.

wow. double effing wow....

and to think of all the times on this board, in bars, wherever, ive always , always suggested that shaq was equally to blame for bad things...

its getting a refund for a broken product, years later, but satisfying nonetheless...

For the OT question, let's see what happens to Mr. Miller of the Kings once his NBA career is over.

Wait, did Brad Miller fight with Shaq or did Shaq take swings at the back of Miller's head?

I forgot another one, Charles Oakley is currently taping a cooking show, Cafe Oakley. Haha.

Devean George might the one guy who breaks the streak.

Takes a big boy to tangle with Shaq.

Just cuz they wrestled doesnt mean they hated each other. I have wrestled/almost fought a couple of my GOOD friends. Not saying its a good thing but it happens i guess. But one good thing that will always come out is respect, knowing they cant just run their mouth without consequences. I bet Shaq thought twice before he criticized George or Shaw after that...
Greatest comment I've ever received.

Shaq won that other ring because he was riding Wade. The same way he rode Kobe to 3 rings even though he gets credited it for that.

Shaq always needs an all world guard playing next to him to be effective.
