Top three TRIO's in the NBA...#1 being best...

by DubaLakers
1. Detroit (Billips, Rip, Prince/Sheed)
2. Spurs (Invaluable Championship Exp.)
3. Lakers (Next year will fight for #1 slot, slight edge over Celts)
Celtics
I think the LAL have the best team, but as far as TRIO I'd have to say Detroit.
You could be right dcash, but that's why I started this thread it's damn close IMO. Detroit is the only team that can alternate one of their TRIO without flinching. I don't think the same could be said for the great DFish replacing one of the LAL big three.
I like the thought of starting this post, i think it's a solid topic, but I don't think there is a clear cut #1. I don't even like my answer.

pistons aren't better than duncan/parker/manu, bryant/gasol/odom, or garnett/pierce/allen.

Were number 1 in the best four-0
Bryant/Gasol/Bynum/Odom.

Besides the Lakers?
1. KG, Pierce and Rajondo
2. Timmy, Parker and Brent Barry. Manu is too inconsistent.
3. Have to give this to Memo, D-will and Booze.. they have very good chemistry

Howcome the Pistons are considered 3 when you listed 4?

Kobe, Gasol, Odom
Duncan, Ginobili, Parker
Garnett, Pierce, Allen
Williams, Boozer, Okur/Kirilenko
Paul, West, Chandler
Nash, Stoudemire, O'Neal
Nowitzky, Kidd, Howard
Anthony, Iverson, Camby
Billups, Hamilton, Wallace
Arenas, Butler, Jamison
Howard, Turkoglu, Lewis
Johnson, Smith, Bibby
Those are the top triplets in my opinion. Top 5 players would have Detroit higher.

If NBA makes a contest of 3x3 and each team could just send three players....Be carefull with the:
Iverson-anthony-camby.
But of course, the big threes from Spurs and celtics are great as well

you do realize that Billups, Rip, Prince and Sheed are a quartet and not a trio reguardless of wheather there is a slash mark between Prince and Sheed?

Am I the only one who noticed somebody said Parker/Duncan and Barry because Manu is to inconsistant? Manu was all nba third team and you think Brent Barry is better. WTF?
We have the best 1-2-3 combo in the league even if you don't count Bynum because Kobe is one of the 3. For example if Lebron had even JRich and Felton he would have the second best 1-2-3 punch because like Kobe Lebron is like 2 stars in 1.

get ready to add Wade, Marion, Rose to that list.

^^ not only wade. I got a feeling Kevin Durant is going to get his. Sonics will look to add an established really good player like orlando did with lewis. and if they dont trade the high pick, chances are they end up with Bayless or any of the projected top 3-6.
And Phil... with Oden coming back (Roy, Oden Aldridge), who knows.... might have to add the Blazer triplet to that list. If the old man comes back as what people say he is supposed to be, then omg... Roy and twin towers will be a very difficult three to deal with

Yes I realized I put four with Detroit, but I explained that. But again the more I think about it the more I don't like my answer. I usually have an opinion one way or the other and I'm sure of it. Not on this one. I'll take the Spurs three as #1.

Detroit has a great team but there are way better trio's if your just judging on 3's and not the team or team success because it is just best 3 combo.
Therefor Wallace,Billups,Rip are not the best or even top 5 imo. You might be able to say Prince over Wallace but that is debateable. I personally would rather have Prince but that is only due to age.
1.Kobe-Gasol-Odom (if Bynum comes back take out Odom and put Bynum and if Bynum is not 100% they need to give Odom whatever he wants to stay.
2.KG-Pierce-Allen If they got together a couple years earlier wow. They will only be top 2 for 2 years or so. All 3 are on the decline except maybe KG and if Pierce isn't on the decline it won't be long now.
3.Duncan-Parker-Manu I kind of don't understand how they go threw scoring slumps. All 3 of them are excellent scorers.
4.Dirk-Kidd-Howard

Either way it's nuts.
