2002: The Mitch Richmond Question

Post#1 » by RJM » Sat May 31, 2008 1:01 am

Perhaps my memory has hazed a bit since then, but I'm curious. Why didn't Mitch Richmond get much playing time off the bench for the Lakers during the 01-02 Season? IMO he was still productive enough to do that at least. I reckon the only time I saw this guy on the floor that year was in the waning seconds of Game 4 when he hit that baseline fadeaway jumper to close out the series.

So what happened? Most of you guys were around as well so... :-?

Hey Iceberg...I remember that, but he wasn't as good who was on the floor. It was the downside of his career man, he was no longer in his prime. I can't get more specific than that, but I would have remembered if i thought he was better than who was on the floor.
