Finals already over!

Post#1 » by nightstarstolen » Mon Jun 2, 2008 3:58 pm

Celtics > Detroit > Lakers > Spurs

Anybody remember here that Defense wins championships in any sport?????????

Celtics are #1 defense in league, and Detroit is #2. Spurs are older, and simply didn't have the energy to compete..

Celtics are 26-5 vs west in regular season... 2-0 vs Lakers with Binum /wo Gasol..

Conclusion: Celtics in 5-6. Detroit vs Celtics was the real finals. All you cocky LA fans will be highly disappointed.

BTW you guys were given the Spurs series on a platter by the REFS..

Just like you were given Gasol on a silver platter, by Stern...

I call trolling... Any of you Mods going to lock this one?

When the Celtic players started chanting "Beat LA, Beat LA" in the locker room after beating the Pistons really got under my skin.

Oh yeah, and who received an all-star caliber player on sliver platter again? I believe those two former Celtic buddies conspired to send KG to Boston for hardly anything at all...

KG was given up for Al Jefferson. A 22/11 borderline all-star young stud.... 3 pt shooter...

Only difference between Jefferson and KG is Defense, Kg is more of a leader, but offensively they are equal an Jefferson is younger..

Damn, the Finals are already over? So the past eight months have been nothing but a big waste. And here I was getting all excited. I feel so cheated.

Why are these Celtics fans continually allowed to talk all this crap? Weren't they warned beforehand? This is seriously getting annoying as hell. I'm sure there are Laker trolls as well, but I don't think its this bad. I've never heard of a cockier group of fans..don't they realize that their team needed seven games (and two injuries to the best offensive players in Detroit) to even get past the first two rounds, let alone the East?

We've basically swept through the toughest Western Conference in recent memory, even dethroning the NBA Champions, and we're not as cocky. This doesn't make sense. Why are they the Golden Children?

I take over, since many have responded with courtesy, and addressed the points made in this thread...

Come on Phil 2.0... where is a mod when we need one?

I sure hope the Celtics come with that one-on-one basketball... they will be no match for the crisp ball movement of the Lakers.
