Many of you do not know me. Shoot, all of you do not know me! I understand the game of basketball fairly well! If we thought that the Lakers were gonna win game one because they deserve it, then, well, we we're wrong. If you think there was a conspiracy theory in the favor of Boston before game one, then you were wrong! We just got flat out beat! No, not "single" word from any of us!

This was not what the Lakers or the Celtics expected! This is not going to be decided in 4 or 5 games. The league has way too much riding on this series! The league needs Boston to create something, anything, in anyway, shape, or form to keep the interest alive in every single U.S. citizen alive! Why? The league is big worldwide, already. Where the NBA lost its fans is on their home turf!

The NBA is bigger than it has ever been! But, if you don't know already, the league officials understand where they stand amongst the 4 major sports in the U.S.. Yes, that is right. I said it. The NBA is losing it's ground to the other 4 major sports. You know, the NFL, MLB, and Nascar? What better way to regain interst in the NBA to Americans than offering up a real drama filled series that showcases what the NBA is all about than the Lakers or Celtics?

Thought the Lakers would win game 1? Not even close! Just allow your mind to wonder. The NBA is big worldwide, yes. Just not where it matters!

Lakers in 5.....Otherwise, 6?

That was a lot of writing to basically say that your a NBA conspiracy nerd. So which one(s) are you:

a. Refs rig games for favorite teams.
b. Refs rig games to extend the series for more money
c. Refs rig games to favor the home team (twist on b)
d. Refs rig the games to keep them close and exciting.
e. Refs rig the games towards the most marketable players.

Hmmm? I wonder what everyone of you are thinking now? So I get a lot of flack for writing this article. So what do you guys think of it now? The league is huge, internationally speaking. It's just their home soil where League has lost a lot of ground to the other 4 major sports.

What better way for the league to get its' fan base back than to pit the two greatest franchises in NBA history against each other? They need this series to go 6 or 7 games to draw everyone back to the television set. Which two teams were responsible for breathing life into the league when it was down for the count? You guessed it!

Let's see how the whistles blow Tuesday? Whether Boston wins or loses it all is not the point I'm trying to make here. Just as long as the League finally gets an NBA Finals matchup from two of the largest and most storied markets in NBA history to go 6 or 7 games. Can you say chaching$$$?

It's been awhile since the ratings have been this good. It's been even longer since the two major pillars of the league have played one another in the Finals. You remember, right? The 50's, 60's, and 80's made the NBA what it is today. Guess which teams were responsible for those eras?

I love the Lakers, but the truth is the truth. The league is foaming at the mouth at the potential rennaissance of the league occuring as a result of these finals. What better way to catapult the league into its' new era of growth and prominence than to pit the two all time greatest winners in league history against one another?......... Just in time for the league to prime its' new fan base for the next 5 years of Laker dominance?

By the way, thanks for all of the support from my fellow Laker fans. If Boston wins it all then, and only then, I'll be the first to congratulate them! I hope Bostonians who read this understand that I'm not a homer. Thought it was funny what I wrote last week, huh?
