I don't see how though. He has a tendency to get in foul trouble. Boston and the refs last night would have ate him alive. Even he would have been a non factor.

That game last night hurts.

Bynum would have helped, actually.

The Lakers were actually only down on the glass by 1 board, a big reversal from game one. If Bynum had been in there, he'd have changed a lot of the dynamics of the game.

For one, he'd have changed how easy it was for Powe to get to the rim, he'd be taking offensive boards away from Boston (so the Lakers +1 advantage there would have probably been bigger), they would have shot a higher percentage overall...

The mere presence of a decent big defender who can rebound and score in the paint would have been HUGE. Bynum would have probably meant a win.

Of course Bynum would tremendously help us!!!

On Offense, Bynum would have a size advantage over Perkins or KG, they wouldn't be leaving Bynum like they do to Odom to contain the pain. Kobe would just lob it to Bynum off pick n rolls with Gasol because the help defense commits. You cannot do that with Odom because we know he cannot do much on the offense.

And on defense, just his mere presence would help us because he'd be rejecting Rando on drives and Powe wouldn't be as effective. if Bynum had played in this series, we most likely be up 2-0 or atleast have a split!

Of Kobe's 23 shot attempts 4 were in the paint. I'd call that a lot of jump shooting.

Pierce's game is all about driving the lane and getting fouled. It is an ugly boring style of play.

Yes Yes Yes. He only plays 28 minutes anyway so the fouls wouldn't have mattered that much. He would have made up for Odom's lack of scoring plus the rebounding can never be overlooked.

If Bynum can punch and knock down the refs then yes

would Bynum have helped?? umm...yes.

is this a fantasy that Bynum will play ths series? yes.

so it's pointless to wish he was here.

Anytime you have a guy that's over 7 feet tall and 260+ that can contribute scoring, rebounding, blocks, and positioning, he'll help...

The question is how much he'd help... IMO we'd be up 2-0 right now with Bynum.... He just makes the game easier.

I say no ! The refs were annoying ! The game was too one - sided !

fans do realize and ackowledge refs home cooking. what you are failing to understand is that it was not so much the bad calls themselves, but it was the momemtum shift that the bad calls caused, it was the inability to get into rythms because of fear of foul trouble in defense and on offense.

Heck, didn't the Lakers finally start getting calls once they were the aggressor and got back into the game in the 4th? You cannot tell me you all did not see the intensity difference on both ends of the court by your Laker team when comparing Quarters 1, 2, and 3 to Quarter 4. The problem for the Lakers last night, is that the needed nearly or equal intensity in all 4 quarters.

the reffing in the 4th quater was actually even. there were bad calls for both teams, but it was even and I attribute our run on that fact. our players finally felt like they were getting breaks at both ends so they got into rythm and shifted the momemtum.
