Dexmor's reasons why nobody should panic

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Mon Jun 9, 2008 10:29 pm

1. A series doesn't really start until a team wins on the road.

2. They were on the road and there still a pretty young team. Winning one on the road was a little bit of a longshot right anyway. Game 7 was bound to happen.

3. Kobe has not been superman mvp greatest player of alltime the guy I say is better then MJ this series and the games were pretty close.
I think Kobe will start playing like that starting next game. I think all the Lakers are going to really pick it up at home and after 3 hard fought games make it 3-2.

4. Kobe is going to be unstoppable in the 4th quarter in game 7. He is a legend, the best ever and not even the big 3 will be able to stop him in the 4th quarter in the last 5 minutes. That is what it will come down to.

Not trying to doubt kobe but the last time he played in game 7 was one of his worst games ever. Winning 4 in a row is not impossible but the momentum shift has to happen and when it does, it has to be a huge one.

so boston's first 2 series didn't really happen since no one won on the road?

i'm not panicking, we're going home where we should play better, get refocused and get back into this series

No but what was sopposed to happen, happened. If the Lakers don't protect the homecourt were screwed but if they do then it's down to that game 7.

Also Odom and Gasol haven't really gotten in the series yet. They will. Maybe it will take them to have really good games at home to give them the confidence to go out and have huge games on the road.

If we had homecourt and were up 2-0 I would not be counting the days for the parade. This series isn't close to over.

I also forgot to mention the Celtics are not exactly road warriors. These 3 games just might be blowouts and we could tecknically still win this thing in 6. Not likely but not impossible.
Ariza is back and Farmar is playing well when he plays.

Besides are you really questioning me? I am a god damm genious. If I say we still got a good chance it's true. If Dexmor says it then it's true. No I am just kidding but seriously the only thing that didn't happen is we failed to steal homecourt.

They are the ones who can't play well on the road. We have to play perfect and can't let up but if they do the right thing and win these 3 games at home we will win the series. Seriously we will have 2 chances to win in Boston. The Lakers are a good road team and a hard team to beat at home and if the Celtics can't beat us on the road which I don't think they will we odds are we will win 1 of the 4 games on the road.

Also the refs stole the game from us. They will not be able to do that in the Staples Center. The Lakers might have a hell of a momentem in a week. If they can keep that up and maybe Gasol and Odom both play well in game 6 which is possible and you know Kobe will have it going they will win this series.

Man, just from reading the thread title I thought the opening post had a chance to be an all-time classic. What a letdown. I haven't been this disappointed since, well, last night I guess.

I was expecting a 12 out of 10 on the unintentional comedy scale. That was only about a 7.

That's a bit much. Unless you buy into the idea that he tanked the second half to "send a message"...

Which i'm guessing you do, so, nevermind.

i won't panic but i am mad. iknow alot of reporters are dogging us right now and that's cool but here are a few reasons i am optimistic.

first off the only difference in this game was the free throws. call me a homer if you will, but if you look at it the lakers had more points in the paint than the celtics. we also shot 50% on the road against their so called great defense. the rebounds were even, and we had less turnovers. if we can do that on the road, imagine what we can do at home? if not for the huge disparity in freebies the lakers win last night. now i know we are down 0-2 but we just have to take it one game at a time just like the cavs and hawks did. we should be fine. i really think we will win all three at home, that is unless stern has other plans.

There, don't you feel better? F the Celtics. Bring on the 96 Bulls.
