STARTING LINE UPS**:

Image

Its do or die time now.. We've come too far to return empty handed. This is what it all comes down to and this is what you dream for ever since you pick up a basketball....

Image

He was scared to make his free throws. he hasn't been here before and it shows. He will break down sooner than later

Image

You've been there before and you know how to get there. Lead your team, guide them to the finishline

Image

Stay Aggressive, play smart and play hard and the game will take care of itself.

Image

And most importantly...

Image

Quick keys to the game:

1. Defend the pick n roll.

2. Try to establish a two man game between Kobe and Pau.

3. Stay out of foul trouble.

4. Its not a friendly environment to play at so keep your cool, follow the game plan.

and most importantly,

5. They are a veteran team. We are young. They've exploited our youth till now and its time for us to exploit their tired legs. We are stronger and faster than them. Push them till they break and they will eventually fall apart against our intensity.

6. Kobe's been long due for a big one. Get him the ball in clutch time.

GO LAKERS...........!!

** Starting line up for Boston suspected to change depending on the availability of Kendrick Perkins.

Well this is the series. It's not going to be easy. We let one slip by at home, and hopefully we can take this one. We've won on the road before in more hostile environments than Boston. The refs are not going to be in our favor if they remain consistent as they have favored the home team in every series these playoffs. Kobe is going to have to lead this team and put them on his back to get us to the finish line. He's done it before in the past, with a lesser team. The first quarter is going to be really telling to see what Laker team shows up. Hopefully we can shock the world and force a game 7.

Let's go Lakers.
We've won on the road in Denver, Utah, and San Antonio.

We can beat the C's in Boston.

Just Believe.
No quit.
Play smart.

Let's go.

Due to the fact that my crazy superstitious ass believes that King Leonidas somehow guided us to a win on Sunday.....I'm bringing him back.

**

Well men, we have reached what some say is the very end of our venture to the championship. After Game 4, many analysts declared the Boston Celtics to be the NBA Championships. As a matter of fact, NBA.com actually started selling Celtic Championship DVDs!

Image

Disgusting. Are we to let something like this discourage us? Surely our testicles exist in this world of Celtic Madness! As Laker Warriors, are we the ones to hand the championship to those wretched beasts from the east? I for one will be damned! Game 6 is tonight, and we will NOT allow them to emerge victorious! Time and energy is on our side!

After struggling through two seven-game series and one toughly fought six-game series against the most recent team to dethrone the Laker Dynasty, the Green Machine has finally begun to slow down! Do not let the splendid play of Paul Pierce fool you men! We may be outnumbered (3-2), but our fighting spirits are stronger then theirs are! Only a champion forces a force greater then theirs to struggle to match our power!

Let's go out there and leave it all on the floor. In Game 5, we mounted a seemingly insurmountable lead much like Game 4, and relinquished it early in the second half. Did we fold? No! Did we retreat into the obscurity of a Finals Loser? NO! We fought, and won! Led by th excellence of Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom, we all lined up for what many thought would have been our final battle. We defeated the monster yet again, and forced him to flee to his homeland, doing so while injured (plane suffered delays) and beaten.

Men of Los Angeles....

WE MUST ATTACK XERXES (Boston) AS THOUGH WE WERE SPARTANS!

Do we allow foreigners to come into our land and desecrate what we hold dear to us? Some say that a comeback is madness. I say to he that utter this blasphemy......NEVER! THIS IS LOS ANGELES!!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QkWS9PiXekE

Posey: Choose your next words carefully, Kobe. They may be your last as MVP.
Kobe Bryant: [to himself: thinking] "Failure and loss"?
[Kobe unsheathes and points his sword at the Celtic's throat]
Posey: Madman! You're a madman!
Kobe Bryant: Failure and loss? You'll find plenty of both at home.
Posey: No man, Laker or Spur, no man threatens a Celtic!
Kobe Bryant: You bring the banners and rings of retired champions to my city steps. You insult my Center. You threaten my people with shame and failure! Oh, I've chosen my words carefully, Celtic. Perhaps you should have done the same!
Posey: This is blasphemy! This is madness!
Kobe Bryant: Madness...?
[shouting]
Kobe Bryant: This is Los Angeles!
[Kicks the messenger down the well]

THE LAND OF MAGIC AND KAREEM!! THE LAND OF WILT CHAMBERLAIN AND JERRY WEST!! THE LAND OF THE IMMORTAL GEORGE MIKAN THAT STARTED IT ALL!

DID THEY BACK DOWN!?!? NEVER!

Rondo A thousand odds of the Celtic Destiny descend upon you. Our three pointers will blot out the sun!
Fisher: Then we will bang in the post!

WE WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE IT AWAY FROM US!! WE HAVE COME TOO FAR TO TURN BACK NOW!!!

Kobe, the entire Laker Nation cries out to you. It is upon your shoulders to guide us to the promised land. Listen to those calling out for the heads of you and your men. It can't end on Tuesday! You must wake up and flood the Boston Garden with your greatness if we are to rise again among the Champions! Vladimir has his many excuses (crappy role player), but you have none! The entire team is on your back! Pau & Lamar had awesome games in Game 5, and we barely escaped with the victory because you essentially disappeared after the first quarter! You are our champion Kobe! You must reawaken! We're running out of time!

Kobe Bryant: Lakers! Prepare for glory!
Lebron: Glory? Have you gone mad? There is no glory to be had now! Only retreat, or surrender or death!
Kobe Bryant: Well, that's an easy choice for us, Cavalier! We Lakers never retreat! We Lakers never surrender! Go spread the word. Let every Warrior assembled know the truth of this. Let each among them search his own soul. And while you're at it, search your own!

Even as we look deep into the eyes of defeat, we must hold our ground! We no longer have the protection of our homeland on our backs, for we are in enemy territory now! This is easily the most hostile territory for a Laker Warrior to be in, as the war between the feuding tribes has stretched back to the days of our forefathers. We cannot allow these brutes to taste victory from our hands! Don't give them any breathing room!

Do we really want to lose to this?!?!

ImageImage

I'll be damned!

Posey: All that God-King Auerbach requires is this: a simple offering of earth and water. A token of Los Angeles' submission to the will of Garnett.
Kobe Bryant: Submission? Well that's a bit of a problem. See, rumor has it the Spurs have already turned you down, and if those former champions and, uh, floppers have found that kind of nerve, then...
Odom: We must be diplomatic.
Kobe Bryant: [ignoring Odom] ... and, of course, Lakers have their reputation to consider.

There is no peace unless victory is attained. We must fight to win this championship, for the odds are truly against us from the outset.

Celtic General Slaughtered: Lakers, lay down your weapons!
[a spear flies out and impales him through the chest, and he falls out of the saddle, dead]
Kobe Bryant: Celtics! Come and get them!

KOBE!!! TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT WE WRENCH VICTORY FROM THE HANDS OF THE GREEN MACHINE YET AGAIN!!!!!! GET MAD!!!!

Bring it on Boston! Tonight, we dine...in HELL!!!!

Let's go settle our business.

Huge game.

Set up strong side trialngle with Fish, Odom (post) and Radmanovic. Set up Kobe and Pau PNR two-man game on the deep weak side. Exploit their overloading on the strong side. Inside, outside, inside, cut.

Go Lakers! Make history!

Initial signs are good. Bennett Salvatore is incharge and that should help get Kobe to the line if he stays aggressive.

Strong rebounding, Lakers, limit them to one shot attempt per possession, and go for the offensive rebound. This is key! Everything else will fall into place once this is established.
