There is just absolutely no chance the Bulls pass up on Bynum, so number 1 overall.

He would without doubt go number one. He has already proven that he can be a consistent 17 and 13 (January) back to the basket center in the NBA with solid pick and roll defense and great shot blocking to go with it. What more in terms of production could you hope to get from your draft pick?

First pick. No question. The real question is whether he would have been picked number one over Greg Oden last year. In my opinion, he is every bit as talented as Oden and is definitely better than him RIGHT NOW because of Bynum's added experience. Regardless, this is the next great rivalry in the West.

You got to define the statement more. Do you mean the Andrew Bynum player that came directly out of high school that was "raw" and had a very low basketball skillset outside of pure athleticism? Or the Andrew Bynum we saw this year after working with KAJ for 3 years? If you mean where would the rookie Andrew Bynum be picked in this draft class? Then I'd say somewhere in the 5-10. I think Lopez from Stanford would get drafted higher than him. And Mayo, Rose, and Beastley would get picked over him as well.

However if you're talking about the Bynum we saw this year with working with KAJ for 3 years then he'd definitely would go number one. No question about it.

I'm pretty sure the majority of NBA teams would rather have Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley so I'll say 3rd.

i think we should be comparing him to the 2006 draft where'd hed be a freshman and wouldnt have stayed in college knowing hed earn a hell of a lot of money before this years draft

as it stands hes about to be extended near the max, i dont think thered be any scenario where bynum wouldve stayed out of the NBA until the 2008 draft

You guys are drafting someone with NBA experience? If you count that, then there are guys from his own draft class that still go ahead of Bynum! Otherwise I don't see how you draft a highschool kid ahead of Rose or Beasley?

Who? The best player in this draft class such as Paul and DWill are older than him and they would have graduated last year or the year before. They would not have come out this year.

Since most people graduate from college around the age of 22 and Bynum is only 20. We still could have the same discussion next year and the year after.

the longer he stays in college, the lesser his stock would become and the less money he would earn

we all know the draft deals primarily in potential, the more potential you see in less total playing time generally equals high draft picks

given his size, college wouldve seen him utilised to the extent we saw earlier this year

2008 he might go number 1, but either way there is no way he falls below 3.

I should have clarified the question a bit. I feel with at least a year or two college ball under his belt, he would no doubt be top 5 at least. His learning curve/BB IQ is such that he would have been drafter much higher than 10 even after his freshman year in college. His skill level after his junior year in college would command a top 3 spot.

Kudos to the Lakers for making it this far. Thanks for the journey. Can't wait for next season.

"As long as they treat me right, it doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be max [money] for me. I just want to be able to live comfortably and take care of my family."
