Kobe what happened? His legend tarnished forever

Post#1 » by MiamiHeatFan2004 » Wed Jun 18, 2008 3:52 am

Seriously, Kobe did basically nothing the whole series...... he gave up in the deciding game and Odom looked like the only guy with heart on the Lakers. His legend is tarnished forever after this finals. He is one of the best ever, but not in the top tier with the greatest, this series proved that.

I almost started to believe guys like Greg Anthony were almost right, I mean I knew Kobe was not better than MJ, but I was starting to think he may be close to being in the same class as MJ with all the "pro analysts" talking like that before this series started.

Well, after this series, what I thought all these years is really the truth, Kobe is not even in the same class as MJ. Kobe cannot carry a team even with 2 very good players beside him and a bunch of other very capable players that they had on this team.

Don't ever bring up the Kobe vs. MJ debate again. After 2004 and now this finals, Kobe will never be in the class of MJ, case closed.

OMG and this is coming from a Heat fan. Dwayne Wade pulled a Paul Pierce by tanking to get a high draft pick.

Why the hell do you have to come here in our darkest moment and tell us that MJ > Kobe?

GTFO.

Kobe > Wade
MJ > Wade
My left nut > Wade
Kobe's 3 rings > Wade's 1 ring
Kobe's career > Wade's career

Any questions?

Of course Kobe is less than MJ. Anyone would know that.

But you've gotta understand Kobe was absolutely blasted by their defense. He was helpless. He couldn't do anything. That's why he performed so horribly.

Sorry man, but this is an unbiased opinion after watching this series.

Kobe did not show up. They were saying he is better than MJ before the series started, he looked like just another player most of the time in this series, MJ never looked that way in a playoff series, ever.

I'm no troll, I made one post to you guys and one to the Boston forum. I gave my opinion about the finals series to each board.

To the guy talking about Wade, Wade carried the Heat in his finals appearance, Shaq was a lot older and a lot less productive than in his Lakers title runs. Wade fell off last year with injuries and now we have to see what he can do next year and in the future.

Anyway back to the point of this thread, Kobe Bryant is great, but he just moved a notch down in NBA history and I doubt he will ever be able to win more titles and compare to the Bird, MJs and other great champions in NBA history.
