I guess all it takes to win a finals is to tank one year just to use your draft pick to build a team. Something needs to be done to change this. A team should NOT be rewarded for doing poorly in a season. I guess it may be the Heat's turn next year.

they didn't even get a top 2 pick like they could have. no cryin. lakers were handed gasol and tanked for bynum too.

They also shoudlnt allow such ridicolous trades as Pau Gasol for Kwame

I am not crying, I am referring more to the upcoming 08-09 season. ala the Heat, I forsee the Heat in the finals the next season. This Celtics team will be a 1 hit wonder.

Kobe is not the reason the Lakers lost, the reason they lost was Pau Gasol. He's really weak, I can't wait for Bynum to come back, Gasol is a PF not a C and he was obliterated by the Celtics. I trust in Mitch to make this team better next year. He has some interesting choices to make this off-season because Mitch knows that next season it's Championship or bust for this squad especially with Kobe able to opt-out after next year.

I agree, I am proud of the Lakers, hell I will take a Finals appearance anyday over a first round playoff exit.

Boston tanked and got the 5th pick in the draft, not exactly how to build a championship team. They got lucky and found a team like Seattle that was in the middle of a fire sale. Then they traded all of their young talent for KG. They signed smart, hardworking role players to fill out their team.

The Lakers on the other hand were given Pau Gasol for virtually nothing.

it will be interesting to see what the celtics mindset is next year, they had everything come together for them to get that championship, now that they've got it, will they get complacent or can they gather all that energy back and go for a repeat?

yes kobe is the reason they lost, the other players are the reason they lost. Basketball is a team game you win as a team you lose as a team.....

Boston won because the refs were on their best behavior. If the donaghy allegations were made earlier, boston would of been playing either Utah or San Antonio
