Will the Lakers ever retire SHAQs N#

Well Gents, the question is since Shaq spent most of his career and won most of his titles in LA.
A lot has happened since his trade to Miami and all the disrespect he has shown to Buss, Phil, his teamates this Org.
Now that his latest single CD is out....." How my Ass tastes".
He has bascially stuck his own head up his own Ass with all the disrespect he has shown Lakers and the Org. and to top it off ....Kareem.
With that being said, will Buss and the Lakers ever retire his N# as a Laker?
Im going to have to say NO..... Let me make it official.......... HELL NO.
I mean its one thing to say what he has in the past, but it never has stopped, all the disrespect towards Buss, Phil, Kobe, Mitch etc was thrown under the rug, but now I seriously doubt that this guy will ever be appreciated as a Laker legend.

Dam Miles , I was actually going to post the same thing, but I wanted to say, I think Bynum should wear 34 as a payback, but since I doubt Bynum would want to build his legacy using DirtBags N# , he wouldnt and I doubt he will.
But Benga LOLLL ya I think that would be a nice slap in Dirtbags face if he does wear 34.
Honestly its sad to say this but at this point I have lost all respect for DirtBag 34.
Funny though I have well over 400+ of his rookie cards some of the top cards you can ever find.
I also have 2 of his best rookie cards signed by him personally, with a playoff jersey worn in 2000 against the Portland, and one ball signed by him.
Dam.
Too bad since I have bascially lost all respect for him now.

The lakers should definitly retire his number they have to. You take him off those championship teams and you guys wouldnt have won anything. I know Laker fans hate him because of the Kobe Fued and diss. If you think basketball terms and not hate terms you must admit he was the real deal when you guys had him in his prime. He was more dominate the Kareem could ever be. Bynum wont even be half the player the Diesel was. His number belong up in the rafters with all the other laker greats.

For fracks sake, of course his number will be retired. Kobe fanatics get so upset over a simple rap song, hells, are you some white rich kid who has no idea that a major point of a rap is dissing? You don't rap about flowers and midsummers eve, it's about ripping and bashing this or that with wit and sharp words. Shaq aint much or a rapper, but so what?

He is one of the most recognized and top basketball players of last ten years, his number will be retired. And don't get me started on why Shaq had to leave the Lakers in the first place, get real.

Anyone who's going to bet against Shaq's number being retired by Lakers is bound to lose a lot of money.

In today's Sports World, the greatest athletes usually have the biggest ego's. In order to be dominant and/or relentless, you have to put up one hell of a game face. It's called swagger. It's arrogance, supreme confidence, instilled in cold blood. Everyone has their own form, but this is Shaq's. He doesn't care, and if he did, he'd lose his swagger. He may not be as classy as Tim Duncan, but he's just as important to the Lakers in the 3-Peat days as Duncan has always been for the Spurs. If you think about it, we acquired Shaq because of his ego. He wanted to play in one of the greatest franchises in one of the greatest cities, and now we hate him because of his ego. We just have to live and die with it, just like his free throws.

Overall, I'm happy with the 3 championships, and I'd want to retire #34.

Shaq is just like the bitter ex-girlfriend, and we know how crazy they can be.

I am not a big fan of Shaq, but the Lakers should retire his number. It's not every day you see a team that has established a 3 peat, and although his work ethics is questionable, you cannot deny that he was one of the most dominant center to play this game.

Lakers can retire his number well, well after they've already retired Kobe's... no sooner than that.

Righttttttttttttttttttttttttt......
Your forgetting one thing.
The main guy that has the say so in all of this is Buss........CORRECT?
Now look at everything Shaq has done since the trade, look at all the crap he has said about everyone including Buss and everyone else that is a part of this Org. and now Kareem....
And your telling me how my ASS tastes a rap dissing, you call KOBE COULDNT do it without me last week ... RAP... or better yet KAREEM cant be me..........
This isnt rap this isnt 50 going up against THE GAME.
This is a FAT has been player that got traded cause of his arrogance, his overwieght problem, this is a guy that left LA took cheap shots at everyone I mean everyone.
You and others keep bringing up KOBEs name..... WTH does Kobes name has to do with us being Laker fans........This dirt bag has taken shots at everyone including the Laker fans that supported his fat boy when he came in LA and couldnt win diddly until we sign Kobe, Phil and build a team around him.
SO he won 3 titles for LA , that doesnt give him the right to crap on everyone once he left LA.

You bring up Kobe like I care about Kobe , I dont.
When Kobe wanted to leave LA I was one of the few that wanted his ASS to leave, I am a Laker fan first , then a Kobe fan or whoever can lead my team to a title.
SO please stop bringing Kobe up in every post, like were butt hurt about Fat boys remarks.
Im more BUTT hurt about him DISSING Kareem than anyone else.
At least Kareem had heart and even when thing got hard, you can always count on him leading by example and take charge of this team.
Shaq is an attention WHORE, all he can do is create attention around him to sell his has been ASS.
I have no respect for him. Im sorry if you do, thats up to you, but please stop posting Kobe fanatics are upset about a rap song............
This isnt a rap song, these continous cheap shots he is taking at everyone that has to do anything with the Lakers Org. ... for starter Shaq cant rap and now he cant even play basketball, to top it off he lost his deputy badge so now he cant even get a job at camp snoopy as a deputy cause he is now labeled as a racsist.
SO maybe he sould stick with raping since he cant play ball anymore and since he ripped the Heat and now the SUNS then maybe he should take that 40 mil for the next 2 years and see if he can have Dre produce some beats for him and start a Album called , tell me HOW RETIERMENT TASTES.

I think we should retire his jersey, after all he helped us win 3 championships. Although this does not help his cause.

Despite all of the immaturity and bad blood, Shaq's # should be retired and I think Buss will see to it.

Bottom line is Shaq always wanted to be a Laker and was one when he hit FA. I think a lot of the bitterness is due to the fact that he wanted to retire a Laker and was unable to. He blames Kobe for that, even though he had a lot, if not most, to do with it.
