Nets sign Najera and Hayes...damn.

Post#1 » by Lakerholic44 » Fri Jul 11, 2008 9:36 pm

These are two ballers that I wanted in LA, because Najera would've been an upgrade over Turiaf and Hayes has the potential to be a Posey type of player...but has better overall skills. IMO, the Nets had the best draft and now did themselves a big favor by getting two very solid vets in free-agency.

What do you fellas think of Krstic? He still hasn't been signed, right? He's better that Vlade down low.

AH! Two very capable role players. Hayes would have been very good here.

Exactly. He was buried in Detroit, and would've been a nice addition.

Najera can shoot the 3, defend, board, and bang with most bigs.

i don't know where this myth of Jarvis Hayes playing good defense comes from. He doesn't. He has the size but that's really about it. He has a good-looking stroke that misses more than it should, and that's really all he brings to the table. He may figure out his shooting as he did get a little better last year, but he is not a good defender. Why do you think the Wizards and the Pistons just gave up on him?

Yeah, look at the Pistons board, they are happy he left. Something isn't right with him. Najera on the other hand is a good pickup, 4 years is a bit much though. Nets have done well to keep them interesting and ready for Bron. Kiki did a great job.

Btw Memphis had the best draft! Mayo and Arthur will be beast one day.

Lets just face it. The Lakers can not afford there own players. So why does it seem everyone wants Posey and some other big names. We will be lucky to bring back either of the 2 restricted free agents. We loose those two and they will be replaced with some undrafted free agents like Cobe Karl who the fans want to see but are useless to a team when it counts.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
