If the 3.3m report for Doolings S&T is accurate, Sasha should be looking for something in the 3.5 - 4.0m range - which I think will be matchable by the Lakers.

what set the table for sasha was DG then luke then radman...

you know those laker players who underachieve then become indispensable during their contract year... that or we get desperate and overpay...

then they have a lackluster season... fall on the depth chart. then we cant get rid of them for nothing..

the cycle looks like this:

screw (insert player name here). he sucks ----> wow i never thought (name here) would be so good and valuable for the team. he's like yeast in bread.----->(name here) signs contract------> we need to trade (name here). he is terrible. nobody wants him. damn you, mitch.

rinse. repeat.

Do you think the Lakers would match a deal for Vujacic that is similar to the one Turiaf got?

The Hawks looked to be using their MLE now, if Childress goes to Greece.

i believe sasha's value just got better, as reports are stating that Childress has accepted the Greece offer to play overseas
if his value has gotten better, teams will be blowing up Kup's phone
sasha will stay with the lakers for whatever offer...
just crossing my fingers that he doesnt turn into a underachiever when he gets his meal ticket
like cough cough luke, radman, and cough cough devin george of the past

The frontloading of Turiafs first year was the real issue for the Lakers since they are already in Taxland. I do think LA matches anything in the 4 or less range for Sasha since they have no backcourt depth. If ATL or anyone offers a full MLE there is no way it is matched.

Good point on the George and Luke track record - don't forget the Slava mistake or the obnxious 7 yr/49 mil given to Elvis Campbell.

I just hope sasha signs somewhere soon. We still have other holes to fill and it seems like the lakers are waiting on him.

House's deal helps as well, he servers a very similar role for the Cs and he had a better finals then Sasha (near identical numbers but shot the 3 a little better) Sasha was a little better on the season and is younger and a bit more versatile. Eddie got 2 years at 2.7 mil so 3 at 3.5 sounds pretty fair to considering Dooling and House.
