Kobe would say that too but the backlash he'd get he probably wouldn't want to deal with that.

He said he would win in a 1v1 game in his prime against Kobe. Way to blow this out of proportions.

But there has been a debate since Kobe was in his 20's Kobe will win 7 championships and could have won 9 if 2004 and June turned out differently

MJ played against Kobe when the last was still young in 90s, but then Kobe blowed out MJ when the last was in Wizards, especially in MJ's last game at Staples when Kobe showed who can really shoot the ball !

I'd put 2002-2003, 2005-2006 Kobe against whenever "The Primadonna" was in her prime and MJ would realize how wrong was he when telling to those kids that Kobe wouldn't have a chance to win a contest !

MJ is only speaking the truth, it wouldnt even be a contest, Im not taking anything away from Kobe hes a top 2 player in this league, but MJ is the greatest ever...

I'd take MJ in his prime over Kobe any day of the week, and I assume most realistic basketball fans would agree with me.
