figured id post this here since i didnt see anything and it might be of a little relevance for you folks:
the world-champion Boston Celtics will meet their NBA Finals rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, at the Staples Center on Christmas Day. Ho, ho, ho

I'm surprised it isnt Phoenix for you guys though

The Suns are not in our league anymore and makes more sense to showcase the best teams in the league on Christmas day. Nice job by the schedulers.

I figured it would have had more to do with that damn Kobe/Shaq angle they seem to splooge over yearly.

Do you think Pierce hasn't talked himself into a rivalry with Kobe already? The Shaq thing is old and the Laker - Celtic rivalry is the hot thing now.

It used to be..
This is just is just a new team for us to play on xmas. ( we have went against the blazers, kings , heat ( when Shaq was traded) Phx ( when they were relevant) and now Boston.
I always love games on xmas. Its something I look forward to more than the whole xmas thing.
Shaq vs. Kobe is dead..fyi

Oh this is going to be GOOD......... real good.
I hope the best player in the world is going to be ready to back up all the ish he's been talking about himself, and hopefully Kobes going to be looking forward to this as well.

We Boston types are just happy to be taken seriously again. I'm sure there will be a ton of hype for the game, but in the end, it will be just one of 82. Had the Celtics been taken out by Atlanta, nobody would have cared about their 66 regular season wins.
Kind of nice to have the rivalry renewed. Hope everyone is healthy for the game.

as long as Radman is on Pierce and all the Celtics are on Kobe Pierce will always be the best.

That should be great on Xmass. I can't wait.
I'm getting excited about the upcoming season already.
We'll have an awesome frontline and 7&7 will be playing together.
