Nice signing. Very good rebounder and has some potential on offense.
Tyler would be very happy!

He was playing well for the Clips down the stretch last season. He has a big body, bangs inside, very solid rebounder he should do well in spot minutes much like Ronny did.

Well then we've got what we need, a back up power forward who will play good minutes. I say we're about set for the season.

Good pickup, looks like we got our backup big. I like it, give the young guys with motivation a shot. Looks like with him and mitchell, yue, and Karl our 3rd string is set. I think these young guys will keep the starters working in practice and I think we should have plenty of blowouts to get them in the games a little bit
Fish/Farmar/Yue
Kobe/Sasha/Karl
LO/Ariza/Walton/Mitchell
Gasol/Powell/Radman
Bynum/Mihm
bold = main rotation, guys likely to get at least 15 mins.
and we're set...
can't wait for the season to start!!!!

Ronny part deux?
Ronny is 6-10 250 born Jan 13, 1983, Josh is 6-9 240 born Jan 25, 1983.
The numbers Ronny-- 18.7 mpg, 6.6 pts, 3.9 reb, 1.4 blk, 47.4 fg% and 75.3 ft%
Josh's numbers--19.2 mpg, 5.5 pts, 5.2 reb, .36 blk, .460 fg% and 72.4 ft%...
Very similar and Josh will be much cheaper I think. Ronny might have better defensive game W/ blks but in turn Powell by stayin on the floor more and not going for blks averages more reb. Powell might have more of inside game where as Ronny has a better mid range J.
All in a all a very good signing as a backup at the PF.

Lakers spokesman John Black just confirmed that journeyman forward Josh Powell has been signed by the Lakers.
The 6-foot-9 Powell spent the 2007-2008 season with the Clippers, primarily as a backup forward. However, he started extensively late in the season, when starting center Chris Kaman missed 17 of the final 21 games due to an ankle injury.

Does anybody know if this is a Guarantee contract? He most likely signed for 1 year, but how many official contracts do we have on the team? Hope he isn't a training camp invite.
This means No DJ Mbenga which kind of sucks....Is there any way we can sign Mbenga as well because I don't want Mihm as our primary backup. Can we trade Mihm for a 2nd rounder?

Underrated signing. He's a good replacement for Ronny. We still need another center though. I have no faith in Mihm.

Nice signing but he is nothing more than a body who will play 10-15 minutes a game. Would rather have a vet than a rookie fill in.
