Their ratings are very close to mine but most are a little bit higher... There are few players on other teams I will have to tweak too but overall there ratings are pretty good

ROFL in my grave at their ratings. Gasol should be a 95. Lamar should be around 90. And Chris Mihm should be at least an 85. At least they got Kobe right, but they severley under ratted the rest of the Greatkers.

i love how they hate on radmanovic though. LOL. D's pretty much all around, except for outside. hell, coby karl is ranked better than him. that's made me chuckle a little bit. i have never played a next gen NBA game, but i might have to pick this up for my ps3.

Kno my created default player with no attributes would break him off the dribble at 6 feet tall. On D I would just prevent him from getting to the corner. .

LIVE looks to surpass the 2K series this year. The previews say 2K didn't do much to the game at all, and live is bringing the motherload. Team DNA based on real time stats. The game reflects real time players tendencies throughout the season it's amazing they can do this. Live looks to take back the trophy this year. And i hope it does i hope you guys have the PS3 and not the dreaded red ring system.

Live was awesome in 04,05,06 then died and 2k took over, but LIVE has been reborn. Even IGN who follow this stuff like we follow sports, said at the video game summits LIVE looks great and the 2K series isn't planning much differnt this year, and that they didn't seem to care as well. You know who has the best shooting mechanic is NBA 08 series, but the rest of the game isn't up to par. LIVE will own this year.

No, 2K has been better since 2000 or 2001... People just bought Live because it was the bigger game and had been around for a long time already... people didnt wanna give a lesser franchise a shot... Its like, if someone were to say NBA 09 is the best basketball game ever no one would believe them because everyone plays either 2K or Live


Live has always had better graphics but has far as gameplay 2K has been better ever since I could remember

Why would 2k9 revamp something that worked? Personally, I am glad they aren't. All the game needs is some minor tweaks and it will be the most perfect basketball game yet.

I used to be a Live junkie.. I recall Mitch Richmond on the cover...(93 or something?) and played every one until Live 06. I decided to try 2k8 after many great reviews and I can honestly say, they got it right. I am counting the days until Oct 7th.

The 3 point shooting ratings are ridiculously high (Jason Richardson 97 WTF???).. But I guess that was the only way to fix there shooting problem... I play 2K8 on Hall of Fame and I swear to god I only take open 3s and some games I'll still like 3-12... So my guess is that they had to make the ratings hella high to overcompensate

I hear you.. I too rarely take alot of 3's (avg abt 6-8 per) and last night Kobe was 0-5 while some dude had Wade go 5-7. But I think it has to do more with the timing of the stroke vs their actual skill because some people can flat out shoot with some marginal 3 pt shooters.
