Maybe its because he's not wearing that chest plate thing he wore lasts eason to protect him in games?

by what would jack bauer do?
Dang it really didn't hit me that Ronny is gone until I saw that picture of him in another jersey. His presence will be greatly missed. He's really not that essential to us winning a championship, but he's one of the best team guys in the league.
Anyways go Lakers! the next 9 months are going to be awesome. The journey to the top begins soon.

YES!!! Maybe now I can see Bynum's physical development everyone's been talking about!!! Geez I think I'm developing a man crush on Bynum, hoping he was the missing piece to the lakers championship.....

Yeah, and I don't even want him to get bulky. Hopefully he's strengthened his legs/core.

luke and farmar came on am570, nothing new. loss in the finals still stings, have to move on.
chris mihm just finished. says that for first time since original injury he is 100% and ready to play. he's ready to remind people of the type of player he was a couple of years ago.

Good to hear that from Mihm. Mihm at 100% is good enough to start for half the teams in the league and he'd be a much welcomed boost at the C position. I can see him getting close to 24 MPG if Phil decides to limit all the starter's minutes in the regular season. I'll believe it when I see it for myself though, the summer league is going to be huge for him.

per live blog from thelakersnation.com, bynum along with luke look like they've been hitting the weights.

Chris at 100% would be a big addition. In my mind that negates anything we lose with Turiaf, except the cheerleading. A lot of people forget how solid a fully fit Chris Mihm is.

from am570 update:
kobe: people completely exaggerated his comments about considering europe, pinky doing alright. body feels great after the short summer.
phil: kobe and pau will probably sit out 2nd practice during two a days.
pau: wasn't asked about the racist pic
lamar: they weren't able to get to him, only player they didn't get to.
ariza: "whatever happens, happens" (re: starting)
bynum: looks even bigger and stronger, more defined.

They were saying something like Bynum getting the MAX before the season starts! Any truth to that?
Also they were saying that Bynum lost some fat and added some mean Dwight-ish muscle. Luke looks a lot stronger too, may be a result of gym activity.
I'm surprised about LO's unavailability though, they had a quote from Kobe asking a reporter, "Have you seen LO around?" sometime yesterday.

am570 said that LO was speaking at the same time as kobe and they chose to speak to kobe.
all the bynum info i've heard being talked about today is the same speculation thats always been there.

money and petros talking about being at media day now:
- pms had a one on one interview with kobe, airing at 5, re-airing at 630.
- LO: has always been a 3. doesn't think its a big deal moving to his natural position.
- sasha: money said his physique is probably the most improved on the team.

I agree, if we got the Mihm from two years ago he'd actually be a bigger addition than Turiaf. Mihm is a better rebounder and scorer; he's probably a better defender too because he's gets the blocks plus he doesn't tend to sacrifice the rebounding position that Turiaf always did. I know I'm part of the hype monster for preinjury Mihm, but his defense improved along with his offense once KAJ started teaching him. He was staying out of foul trouble and the concensus was that he picked up the triangle better than anyone else who played big minutes that year (other than Kobe of course). If he's back we might have a back-up center that scores 9 pts and grabs 5 rebounds in addition to Gasol ready to battle at the 5 as well.
