Then you're not a good Celtics fan if you wish the worst opponent to your team...

The score 4 - 2 and 132 - 91 whatever, is pretty misleading... :D

As for me, i wish the Celtics would be kicked out in the 1st round... :D

I share Kobe's view on this. A re-match against the Celtics would be so sweet, but just a win wouldn't do it for me. I'd want to crush the Celtics, and I'm sure Kobe does too.

It's funny how all these Celtic fans think they've been RELEVANT in the league for a long time now. Hell they just won one title in the last 22 years and now they're the greatest thing walking the
earth. I don't think crappy stuff like this constitutes being relevant.

2007-08 66 - 16 .805 1 (0 GB) 16-10 IN PLAYOFFS WON TITLE
2006-07 24 - 58 .293 5 (23 GB) NO PLAYOFFS
2005-06 33 - 49 .402 3 (16 GB) NO PLAYOFFS
2004-05 45 - 37 .549 1 (0 GB) 3-4 IN PLAYOFFS
2003-04 36 - 46 .439 4 (11 GB) 0-4 IN PLAYOFFS

It's funny how up until the last game massacre it was a pretty competitive Finals (I'll go get the numbers after if anyone will object), but somehow the media and the hateful bunch are convincing everyone how the entire series was a trashing of epic proportions and the C's virtually sweeped us.

One thing was clear last year, however - we went to the Finals a year too soon and weren't ready for that stage just yet. This year promises to be a whole different story.

They were up 2-0, then 3-1, so they were in control the entire series. If we don't blow Game 4, then it's a totally different ballgame. But we did, so that wasn't exactly what I'd call "pretty competitive."

I want Celtics also, although I'm sure they'll have home-court again: pretty easy since they're in the East and get to play more games against the: Knicks, Nets, Bucks, Pacers, Bobcats, Bulls, Heat, & maybe the Hawks. That's almost 8 gutter teams.

While Lakers on the other hand have: Grizzlies, Thunder, Kings, T-Wolves, Nuggets. And that's almost 5 gutter teams.

I think we're improved and better, We've got Bynum back, Ariza's looking healthy while Boston (although they get Tony Allen Back), they've lost Posey & possibly PJ Brown.

I think you know what I meant. Of course they were in control the entire series, I won't argue with that.

But fact is, that each team had a chance to walk out with a win in the first 5 games (with game 1 obviously being the one that was out of reach the soonest). Game 2, we turned the blowout in a 2 point game with 40 some seconds to go; Game 3 was competitive to the end and Game 4 was the mirror picture of Game 2 with the difference being the we know what. Game 5 was a grind out game til the end, won with the steal and dunk in the vaining moments.

I think that would qualify as being pretty competitive... as opposed to people (usually C's fans and those who don't like the Lakers) portraying the Finals as a 4-0 sweep with a 20 point differential. :)

lol, why is anyone bringing up this decade vs celtics fans? Jeez.

Id love to see a rematch with a healthy bynum. I think it would be a more competitive series. We'll see what happens though. West is stronger imo than last season. Rockets, NO have improved

I totally agree with kobe and odom. I'm glad they have that competitive attitude that they want to be the best and they want the team that beat them. I'd feel the exact same way. Boston was superior last year. Lets learn from the experience, improve, and then defeat them and prove we are better now.

everyone, keep it in your pants until the wedding day.

Yes we look good on paper and many pick us to cruise into the Finals. But last time I checked games aren't won on paper (see 2004).

First things first- bring it every night, get the best record in the league, defend like he'll. One mission. Win.

The question posed to Kobe and Lamar was on the premise that the Lakers actually make the finals.( and BOS) Its not implying that its a done deal. The subsequent discussion in based on said premise.
