I am so stoked! If it's not on tv I will be pissed (although it should be because its on tnt in the us).

Where' the key bench matchups? I know people think I'm crazy but the staring 5's match up fairly evenly:

Oden/Bynum - young talented untested centers
Aldridge/Gasol - finesse power forwards, quiet and consistent scorers
Batum/Radmonovic - international smalls, not sure what you're going to get
Bryant/Roy - best player on both teams
Fisher/Blake - solid points, complementary players who can get hot every now and then

While Lakers have a slight edge in the starters, it is the reserves where the differences come in with Lamar, Farmar, Ariza, Sasha have to be better than Rodriguez, Fernandez, Outlaw, and Frye. This is where having Lamar on the 2nd team needs to pay dividends. On paper this looks like an evenly matched rivalry for years to come.

gonna make my way down to staples and cheer on the lakers! lets win this!

Man.. very anticipated match up and it being the first game of the season... so exciting lol.

I think it all comes down to experience and handling the ball under pressure which the Lakers have plenty of hehe.

Ha. If I am not mistaken, that picture of Oden is not legit. I believe it is a photoshop job. He is wearing the hand brace he wore at OSU, and, he wears number 52 for Portland. If it is indeed the same photoshop picture, what is funny is that actual media outlets have also used it for their internet articles and publications.

Hoping for a great game with no injuries. LA has to be the heavy favorites.

With all the great starter match ups, I think the benches have been forgotten. I am curious to see how the benches match up. I think Portland will miss Jack. He pretty much whooped Farmar in each meeting. I think Farmar will have his way with Rodgriguez. It could be the difference in the second unit match ups.

same here. I never had it so i dont know if its worth it. But now i got the money

I can't live without the nba league pass and recommend it to all lakers fans the sooner is the better now you can have an early bird discount so go ahead

farmar/vujacic/ariza/odom/gasol or bynum will have an incredible +/-
