Sweet another Home Opener for the Lakers

Defense was suffocating against the Blazers, hope we keep it up. Big A@@ Baron Davis will be a challenge as always but if No Camby = Advantage, and Bynum owned Kaman last time.

Exciting

Our second unit is disgusting. You can't match that. Our first unit gets the game out of reach, second unit comes in and plays the rest of the second half. We are going to have some fresh legs for the playoffs.

Is Baron Davis healthy and playing?

I remember not that long ago reading something about him possibly missing the first few weeks with some kind of injury...I forget

Coach Mike Dunleavy said he expected Davis and forward Tim Thomas to be ready to play tonight and considered Marcus Camby (bruised right heel) "very doubtful."

Our secound unit is just incredible.

Not to mention that besides a few minutes last game, the defense was completely suffocating. Cant remember the last time I saw that.

Yesterday the Blazers shot themselves out of the game, for the most part. I expect a little closer game this time, and this time Kobe will hit 30 pts. Lakers 105, Ppers 90.

I'm looking forward to Gasol and Bynum out sprinting Kaman and Skinner to the Lakers offensive basket for easy ones. I dunno if Kobe goes for 30, but I'll go out on a limb and say he goes for a triple double. I believe he had 5 assists in the first half of the season opener, but the hard foul by Pryzbilla got Kobe mad and Kobe went Kobe. Lakers needed that since the blazers came within 8.

Kobe did a good job @ locking down Roy so I guess he gets Bibby. crossing fingers Radman keeps up the above average radman defense and can keep up w/ thorton.

I hope Mobely guards Kobe so Kobe can absolutely demolish his @$$ and put up 40.

40 points? There is no reason for 40 now.
They have so many options. I can't see Kobe having 40 unless it is a close high scoring game.
With Bynum and Gasol I see him giving them the ball alot.

kobe will only go for 40 if there is serious foul trouble or he is the only one who can score

otherwise there are too many weapons to take advantage of

looks like espn will replay it at midnight, probably a bit later if the game runs long. game is on kcal so there won't be an fsn replay tomorrow morning/afternoon.
