With a long list of forwards, the Nets seem willing to deal former Boston College star Sean Williams, Stromile Swift, or Trenton Hassell, according to an NBA source.

I'd love to see the Lakers trade for Swift or Williams (especially Williams, younger & cheaper) to play the Turiaf role off the bench. The Lakers lack a PF banger who can get boards and blocks off the bench, both Swift and Williams fit this mold. Josh Powell the current back-up PF won't cut it during the season, especially the post season. Powell is kind of soft and not really good at anything specifically.

Sean Williams will be J.R. Rider in Cali. He is a pothead and parties to hard.
Swift isn't going to make or break us although he would fit into the running game.
If they can trade Luke for him that would be something.

luke + mbenga for swift!
if kupchak pulls that out he must be smuggling weed into other GMs coffee to convince anyone to take luke's contract let alone for an expiring

Sean Williams at age of 22 and 6'10 and 235. I would take a chance on him, he was the 17th pick just a few seasons ago. Not sure why they would want to trade him, but I think he will get better with time and has a good NBA body and good size to get a good rebounder. Not sure who I would trade for him.

As a team we are averaging 51rpg and 5bpg. Why do we need either of these guys? Swift has never lived up to his potential just like the bum Kwame we used in the Gasol robbery and Williams is a head case and has to many off the court problems. If we want to get a back up PF Denver is buying out Antonio McDyess's contract and would be a great fit in the second unit.

Sean Williams in a heartbeat (If the price is right). Endless potential and he should come cheap!

Those two give us exactly zero:
Swift -- career under-achiever; a poor man's Tyrus Thomas
Williams -- a future career under-achiever, if he even lasts that long
