Were Jordan Farmar ranks which is why this is being posted here and not ranking general board. This is to show where I think Farmar stands and if you guys disagree with the list please let me know (I am sure you would have anyway, just be gentle)
1.Chris Paul-I think there is no arguing this one. Not even Jerry Sloan could argue this.
2.DWilliams- Just as clear as Paul is #1 he is #2 right now but Rose will pass him it's just a matter of when and if he stays healthy.
3.Rose-Maybe not this season but this is a list of best by seasons end so basically going into next year and he will even beat out Williams and give Paul a run for his money. Rookie of the year he will be and this kid could eventually take Paul as best at his position. He has the body of Williams with the game and speed of Paul. Scary. Will be an elite superstar in the Wade category of just under Kobe and Lebron, a top 10 player.
4.Parker-This guy has been underrated for a long time. After that 55 point game though people aren't underrating him anymore. He can get to the basket as easy as anybody except maybe Kobe,Wade,Lebron and Paul. He might be the fastest player in the league.
5.Iverson-They say they might have him and Stuckey in the backcourt and play him at the 2 but I think now at 33 he will be unselfish and he has not lost a step. Could have his best year and if he plays D he will and the plan of letting Iversons contract expire for cap room will be gone and it will be to get 1 free agent and resign AI. I thought he would have a short career with all the hits he takes but unlike Manu and Wade he seems unphased. He has not lost a step and has gotten better every year he has been in the league.
6.Arenas-Assuming he comes back healthy we all know what he does. If he is healthy which I hope he is and by his contract I assume he is gonna be back 100% and will become a superstar again.
7.Davis-He is off to a slow start but I believe he will be Davis again very soon. The Clippers lost Brand but gaining Davis makes them not lose a step. I can't say that about many players.
8.Nash-Nash is getting older and it is starting to show a little bit although not to much and remember this is a next year or end of year list so I am assuming he will be on the decline officially next year. I do believe he will be like a Stockton though and be a star as long as he plays and with his smarts and shooting ability and passing will be able to play til he is 40.
8.Kidd-It's amazing how this guy rebounds. He is a pg and almost grabbing 8 boards a game. He lost a step on D but he has improved aspects of his game like becoming a sharp-shooter from 3. I have him tied with Nash although I feel he will age better then Nash because of his body and the fact that he can now hit the 3 with the best of them.
9.Billups-He is getting to that age were he might decline but with his body and shooting it shouldn't be to bad. Also he will have a bigger offensive role so his numbers might actually improve.
10.Calderon-It's possible I am underrating him with his passing. This guy can pass. He might lead the league in assists one day. He is also a pretty damm good scorer and really has a knack of knowing when to pass and when to shoot.
11.Devin Harris-He is probably only scoring so much in NJ because who else is gonna but he is the best defensive pg in the game imo
12.Session- He has a body that only a few pg's have like Davis, Williams, Kidd, Rose and because of that he can do what they do which is overpower the pg's and rebound. He is an excellent passer an improving playmaker and his shot seems to improve each game and can score at will. He is very underrated and alot of you guys here might not of seen him play but this guy is a future star.
13.Mike Bibby-He is not a 20 point a game scorer but he doesn't have to be now. He has really transformed the Hawks from a team with a bunch of talent to a team with direction and a very dangerous team. An excellent veteran pg with clutch and playoff expierence.
14.Farmar-This might be a year to early because there is a good chance Phil will leave Fisher as the starter for the rest of the year. If not Farmar will break out bigtime. He is also 6'1 or so and grabs rebounds with the big boys. 4 in only 20 minutes of play so far.
15.Russell Westbrook-Maybe not a pg but this kid could ball. If Parker isn't the quickest player in the league it's Westbrook. He also can jump about 200 feet in the air. He will surpass Harris as best defender at the pg spot. In a couple years he will shoot right up the list. The Thunder are good drafters so far.
16.Monta Ellis-This is assuming he doesn't lose a step from the injury or at least is ready and 100% by the beginging of next season.
17.Andre Miller-He is gonna have alot of options in Philly with Young,Brand and Iggy. A very underrated passer.
18.Rodney Stuckey-He is a future allstar for sure. Kind of a poor mans Wade. He is good enough to have AI at the 2 and have Rip off the bench and good enough were losing Billups was no real risk.
19.Ford-He is a nice piece the Pacers got. He doesn't have the players to make the playoffs but he is there second best player. Still one of the fastest players and an excellent passer.
20.Hinrick-I would think he will be traded or moved to sg with him being 6'3 and Rose being 6'4. Probably traded and he should because he is surely a starter. He is one of those best players to never make an allstar team.
21.Mo Williams-Mo is a talented player but he needs to become a pass first pg to really thrive or move up the list. We all know he can score 20 but that is when he is first option.
22.Rajon Rondo-I think he is a little overrated because of his team but the man can seriously defend and is a real pg. Plus he rebounds and can probably score more then he gets to.
23.Raymond Felton-Either he gets traded from the Bobcats and does well or he thrives under Larry Brown. He probably gets traded being DJ is getting alot of burn and LB doesnt play rookies.
24.DJ Augustin-The Bobcats screwed up by not selecting Brook Lopez but DJ was the next best thing. He will be a T.J. Ford type talent. A true pg and a real talent. Felton will probably get traded and he will eventually be a 15-17 and 7 guy.
25.Stephon Marbury-He will be getting minutes eventually even if not for NY. He has alot of good basketball left.

Re: PG rankings by end of year or begining of next
to quickly answer:
Iverson too high (I'd consider him a SG anyways)
Andre Miller too low, TJ Ford too low
Unfortunately, Farmar a little too high
Sessions, Westbrook and Harris too high.
Good list though.

I know everybody will have their own opinions.. frankly there are too many out there to really put a ranking on them other than probably the top 10 before people start to argue with you who would be higher and who should be lower.
I like the details on the individual players though. Good analysis

Dude calm down with your mancrush on Farmar. He is not ahead of Monta Ellis and neither is westbroke. But I will say that most of your list seems fair, it's hard to come up with a list. How much free time do they give you at work?
Also funny how a year ago you opened multiple threads about J Critt is better than farmar and how much we should hail to Critt as our savior. Now you are on Farmar's love wagon. Oh Star how we miss your threads.

Re: PG rankings by end of year or begining of next
For next year? I'll give it a shot...
1. Chris Paul
2. Deron Williams
3. Tony Parker - In his prime.. Should be about 19 and 6 on 50%+
4. Baron Bavis - should be about 20 and 8... but bad percentages
5. Chauncey Billups - should be about 16 and 8
6. Steve Nash - He will still be 14 and 8 on 50%+ next season
7. Jose Calderon - around 15 and 9 but doesnt have the same impact as Nash or the others
8. Derrick Rose - he may be about 18 and 6 next year, but I'm not ready to put him ahead of vets
9. Devin Harris - 17 and 6 maybe? His defense is a little over-rated
10. TJ Ford - 14 and 8
11. Andre Miller - cant shoot or he would be higher
12. Mo Williams - doesnt look like he's fitting great with LBJ
13. Ramon Sessions - Could be much higher (averaging 17 and 6 so far this season) not good defender though
14. Kirk Hinrich - If he gets traded he will go back to his old 15 and 6 self (with great defense)
15. Rajon Rondo - should be about 13, 7
16. Randy Foye - getting better everyday
17. Jason Kidd - should still be good for 10, 8, 6
18. Mike Bibby - 14 and 5
19. Jameer Nelson - 12 and 5
20. Jordan Farmar - will probly be about 11 and 4 next year... He will play more minutes than Fish but still come off the bench
Ellis, Iverson and Arenas are SGs that play PG... Westbrooke is not on Farmar's level yet imo... He may be better next year but right now he just puts up numbers cuz he plays for the Sonics.... He's the only player that can create his own shot besides Durant

Where's Crittenton?
I distinctly remember you calling him a top-5 PG by his 3rd year.

Re: PG rankings by end of year or begining of next
Thank you guys. I put alot of hard work into that and usually after a post I only get insults and half the time I think it is just because it is me so I really really appreciate the comments.
Minhee I don't have a man crush on Farmar it's just the pg is my favorite position. My first favorite player was Isiah Thomas and then Derek Harper. My alltime favorite players Kobe,RJ,Ewing,Thomas,Harper so it's not that I have a man crush on Farmar I am just really excited the Lakers have a future star pg.
I also believe Farmar will be the next Tony Parker and be similar in the sence that he will get a little better every year and then that getting better each year will eventually become allstar.
I also wasn't saying Critt was our savior but I did make the mistake of thinking Critt was better then Farmar. But at the same time this last year a bunch of you guys were saying it's o.k. that Bynum comes off the bench and Kwame should be starting so we all make mistakes and I think being fooled by Critt is a easier mistake to make then being fooled by Kwame Brown. By the by I can't believe he is still in the league and he even signed a 4 mill per deal by Joe Dumars. Thats nuts.
Now the list disagrements,
Iverson- might play like a sg but he really is just a score first pg unless he is playing sg you have to consider him a pg. It's not like he is like a Fisher or Sasha and his only job is to shoot and nothing much else. He also averages a career of almost 7 assists which no sg averages.
Plus like I said in Detroit at his age he is wise enough to know he can't beat teams 1 on 5. The proof of that is he averaging 17 points as a Piston. You know that could be 30 anytime he wants. Also he is 33 years old and is just as fast as he was at 25 which makes him top 3 fastest players in the league. Plus being on a defensive team and him being 33 now means he is going to by into the system and want to win now more then ever espially since he doesn't exactly have 10 years left. Plus for the first time he is kind of playing to stay on his own team.
Sessions- He is not to high. I know he has proven that much but as a rookie he got called up from the dleague and averaged 9 points and 8 assists in 26 minutes with a steal, plus his knack is his 3 point shot but he doesnt force it and averaged last year over 40% from 3.
This season Skilles is starting Luke for now and what is he doing? coming off the bench and averaging close to 18 points a game over 6 assists and almost 2 steals. He again never forces shots and because of that he is averaging 50% from 3. He hasn't taken many but he never forces anything. He has a great fg% shooting 47% and a good free throw shooter. He is also clutch. He is a passer, an assist man and a playmaker and there is a difference between all 3 and he has all 3. I am pretty sure he played all 4 years in college which explains why he plays like a vet. And again having that JKidd, DWilliams, DRose, AMiller type body and that is something you can't teach. It's kind of like being 7'1 with a long wing span really muscular and athletic for a Center. It's just something so valuable you can't teach and when you have it the potential is limitless. Sessions is also not just big he is really strong and he is very fast. Sessions and RJ are going to get the Bucks into the playoffs. The Bucks are going to have a top 5 backcourt and there both going to be 2nd round picks.
Ford and Miller- It's possible I have them to low because it's possible Mike Bibby should be taken down and be below them.

Re: PG rankings by end of year or begining of next
Star I give you an A for effort, but your list I'm not crazy about. If Arenas comes back to full health, he's a top three guard again. I have yet to see Sessions play , I can't rank him. I wouldn't bother with Heinrich. If he didn't have a 10M salary tag he would have been traded long ago. Until he starts there's no point ranking him. Iverson #5 PG? He has definitly slowed down IMO. You must have a few pairs of AI3's in your closet. I can't put him above B-B-B-Billups or Davis or Nash or Parker (to me Parker is near unguardable, one of the most underrated players in the league). Nelson shouldn't be considered, the only reason he is starting is because he's the best option ORL has. I think ORL is going to trade for a PG this season. J Tins fits perfect there. Andre Miller, TJ Ford, and Mo Williams all trump Farmar and Stuckey BTW I believe you are greatly underappreciating them. Farmar is still an ole' defender and for the most part sans a nice C's playoffs, preseason, and vs. mainly second teams I think you are being premature. Steph Marbs?! he's nearly in the gutter,l et alone the NBA. I wish you were the OKC GM and I was Sean CutShaq and I'd trade you Farmar for Westbrook right now baby! I love the Westbrook if he starts distributing watch out!
J Critt? Nice one Kno. I have to admit I thought the same as Star. I thought he was the steal of the draft that year. I scratch that to wanting a stud PG so badly I was let emotion kick in too much. I practically savilated when they drafted him. I pay big attention to the draft. I made Mitch's first round pick Farmar's year, and J Critts. This year I wasn't as geeked because of no first rounder I didn't participate.
