hey guys i am huge laker fan and kobe is my favorite player of all time and is the best rite and i just wanted to know what they laker fans think about kobe and how good he is so who is better (no age factor or rings, not team accomplishments)

i think kobe the best then chris paul and lebron james
kobe plays offence defence : prove mvp for offence 81 points and defence 7 all nba 1 def team
cp3- plays offence defence: prove 22 points and 11ast per game and defence about to break the all time consective steal and avged 2.7 last season per game
lebron: plays offence and defence in the 4th period: offence nearly avged a triple double last year def i have no clue what the hell he is doin

i from toronto : 2nd highest points in a game by my favorite player against my hometown team

5 years ? You've got to be kidding me. I don't even like LeBron but we have to admit that this year is the year when LeBron is going to surpass Kobe. That's no knock on Kobe but look what LeBron is doing right now. That Cavaliers team isn't anything special outside of LeBron and look what he is capable of doing with that. He's no slouch on defense either anymore. Still if I had to pick one player to win championship this year that would be Kobe.

You know honestly I know I threw out this joke on my post earlier cause Im not one of those fans/people who sit there and wonder and hope.
I like reality, results and facts.
For example the whole Kobe might go to Europe or Kobe now and Lebron later.
All I can see is this team tearing ish up and dominating this game and staying healthy till hopefully we can make it to the playoffs and then the finals and then its all in Gods hands from there on.
SO for me all these hope and what if are basically WHAT IFs....... Nothing more nothing less.
As far as looking back at histroy of this franchise, hey Buss has never ever had this team not being led by a Allstar/H.O.F/The best of the best that ever played in this league.
I mean we have and always will have a Superstar leading this team.
Who knows, maybe just maybe one day LB will put on the P&G, but until then I wont hold my breath cause we got the BEST right now......... Like 2Pac said........ Let me sit back and light up and enjoy what I have right now, casue it might be gone soon but until then IM GOING TO ENJOY IT WHILE ITS HERE.

lebron is an amazing player,but i would have to go with kobe. the only thing lebron has over kobe is youth. kobe is just on another planet when he get's going. some of the things i have seen him do,i have never seen another basketball player do. not a knock on lebron but to me kobe is the second best player of all time,and still has another 5 or 6 years left in him. with his condidtioning it looks like he will have a malone,stockton type career as far as length.

Kobe's the best on the planet guys...LeBron and Wade and Chris Paul or very good, but they're not Kobe and I'm not being biased when I say that, it's really evident and it came through in the Olympics.

I'll go with Kobe....

All you have to do is look @ the olympics. in the gold game when someone had to step up, it was Kobe. If it weren't for the heroics of Wade in the first half and Kobe in the closing minutes og the gold medal game, It'd be Pau and not Kobe w/ the gold.

Tony is right. Although it's not as fun here if youdeal with reality and what he said is a good way to live and of course I am talking about getting rid of the if's and stay in the now.
Bottom line Lebron has not surpassed Kobe at all.
Lebron has to prove some things Kobe had to prove when it was MJ or Kobe and that is the killer instinct and he has to prove he can play threw pain and alot of it. So far Lebron has just not missed games which is actually really impressive but he still has some mental toughness to prove.
The defense will come, the offense is there he just has to prove he is completely obsessed with bball and really almost nothing else and he has to get really clutch. Things like that.
I think at this point Kobe's main advantage is he is smarter. Of course he is also a better shooter to but the smarter thing won't change.
Jordan,Kobe,Lebron will be the new holy trinity of best ever.
I know that is dangerous to say here because that puts Magic out but come on guys if your honest with yourself you know it's true.
