Oscar will have to make weight too. The last time he made 147 was like 10 years ago.

But Pacman is a midget really compared to DLH

Who cares? The fight will be made up in advance anyway. Unless it's olympic boxing, might as well watch WWF. I think Don King will make out, for sure.

after watching boxing during this years olympics, i think it can now go on the questionable list also

going to be hard to DLH to get to that weight.. look at pac.. he's uhm.. yeah... he's there.

King is not involved Golden Boy Promotions is promoting the fight. DLH is already at the weight but he loooks small. Not sure Pac has the power to make DLH respect him but Pac will land at will as Stevie Forbes did in DLH's last fight. Forbes is a former world champion but not in Pac's class. If Oscar does not KO Pac early then DLH wil fade late in the fight as he always has and Pac stops him in 10-11.

watching that DLH/Pacquiao 24/7 series on HBO has got me pumped up especially since I'm filipino...

I am worried that DLH has advantage w/ height and reach... he can basically jab his way out of trouble. If manny can cut off the ring and get him into a corner or on the ropes I think Manny takes it.

Might be an unfair homecourt advantage for Manny since some Mexicans like manny's style and hate on Oscar cuz he's too pretty.... that could rile up oscar and make him take chances he might not take and get beat down....

I think the Olympics boxing is way more rigged than pro boxing.

Pacman has been taking out Mexicans like he was La Migra! De La Hoya has the size and height, but he's past his prime. Pacman's going to destroy him

De La Hoya is going to dominate & knock Pacman out. He's too small & takes too many puches. De La Hoya will Knock him out. If not he's washed up unless he totally dominates him completely

To be honest, I haven't watched Olympic boxing in a long time. Did not know the evil had rooted itself even there. That sucks. I loved that Thai boxer, something ...porn in his last name. Happened to catch a glimpse of one of his matches this summer.

Hopefully this is more entertaining than the Roy Jones vs Calzaghe fight. I payed $49 bucks for that fight. Big Roy Jones fan here and i was hoping he could pull it off. But boxers that rely on there athletisism and less technique usually dont fight as well at a older age. Roy and Sugar Ray Leonard were like that.

I think the key to this fight is how will Manny react when he gets caught with Oscar's left hook. Oscar's power was not as effective at 154 and 160 because he was fighting bigger guys, but at 147 i think he can hurt smaller fighters. Also Manny is not the defensive wizard that Floyd was so when Oscar unleashes his combinations, he will land some big shots at times. The more you open up your offenssive attack the more chance you can get caught. Manny likes to open up a lot so Oscar will get his opportunities to land that big left hook which he didnt get in the Mayweather fight because Floyd was so defensive and just pot shooting Oscar.

Oscar will knock him out.

I got Pac Man. De La Hoya is past his prime and just fighting for money. He's a good defender and a seasoned veteran so I don't think Pacman will knock him out, but he will win by unanimous decision.

On the olympics thing: I don't think Olympics are necessarily rigged, just that the hosting nation is hugely favoured. This is apparent when you look at medal counts for the hosting nation across time, which always over-preforms previous years.
