Corey Maggette is averaging 19.7 points per game, but his somewhat selfish play hasn't gone unnoticed by other players.
According to sources, after the final buzzer against Boston, Kevin Garnett turned to Maggette and shouted, "Way to get your numbers."
"He just puts his head down and goes to the basket," an Eastern Conference scout said. "He doesn't even look to pass."
Team sources tell SI that the Warriors are already regretting signing Maggette to a five-year, $50 million deal last offseason.

And thoughts on that story.

Warriors had to save face for letting BD go the way they did, but they should've known what they were getting into in the first place. I don't feel sorry for them...............screw'em.

What I never understood was why a sizable portion of Warrior fans believe they could still contend. Until Ellis can prove he can actually play PG he's a SG in my book. I don't care how many times Baron plays the off guard, what made Ellis special is his ability to finish midrange and around the rim, telling him to be a full time point will negate some of that scoring explosiveness. I never understood these penny pinching management, just like the Suns the Ws seem content throwing large money on unproven players, then go back on money saving mode by trading away talents for scraps. Now that Jackson is extended they have 3 SGs locked til 2013 with Crawford going to 2011. Good luck changing the roster with all these long term contracts.

he's been like that since the clippers so he's not going to change. I think it's the coaches fault as well. If he sees that corey isn't playing team basketball... bench him. Maybe once they get ellis back, he'll learn to distribute more or else he won't get the ball hehe

And in more important news King James said that he will not stop answering questions about 2010 because he is the KING and Gotham is his throne. Speaking of Gotham, NY is still waiting/hoping CC Sabathia will sign with them while the Giants are geared for another superbowl run as Dominic Hixon is poised to produced Plexico Burress numbers just like Justin Tuck has more than filled in for Osi Umenyora, Kevin Boss producing in place of Shockey, Eli playing better than Peyton, Brandon Jacobs and Derick Ward being the best 1-2 punch at RB in the league.
Sadly the Angels owner is once again proving that he is a better owner than Dodgers Frank McCourt as he has said time in and time out praising FA talents such as Texeria, Manny, CC, etc. While the cheapo McCourt is talking about building baseball fields for the community and talking about the bad economy of today's world and his PR move of his lack of effort to retain Manny or going after other FA.
