Will Pau make the all-star team?

last years all-star big men: yao/duncan/amare/dirk/boozer/west
this yrs guaranteed starters: yao/duncan
pretty much guaranteed reserves: amare/dirk
very likely: boozer
that leaves one spot open, david west. with the lakers probably having the best record in the west, it would seem that pau should replace david west. some other candidates are shaq, biedrins, jefferson. biedrins and jefferson don't play for good enough teams, and shaq has not performed as well as pau. plus, if amare and nash get in, there is no way the suns deserve a 3rd all star.
so, is pau looking like he'll be an all-star this yr?

Fan's pick who they want right? Well I'm pretty sure there are ALOT more Laker fans in general than most teams, so by using this concept, Pau has a pretty decent shot to make it.

Paul/Williams/Nash
Kobe/Roy
Melo/Dirk
Duncan/Amare
Yao/Gasol
These guys are locks imo
Billups, Parker, Boozer and West are all in the race as well.. No way Shaq or Biedrins make it imo... Jefferson is a darkhorse candidate but his team just wont have enough wins

Sun Yue's LA presence will help Pau with the fan voting. I'm also not certain that Bynum is out of the race yet. Bynumite explosives just around the corner, I think. Meow Ming will most likely be injured at that point anyway.

Pau is in the forward ballot, so Yao/Shaq are not part of the competition, Carmelo Anthony is.

Surely nobody still wants to see Duncan shoot bank shots!!!!!!! Amare has to get the PF vote.

i voted pau kobe odom bynum and deron from the west....
amare is a lock for the starting pf especially if the asg is in phoenix....
kobe, gasol, and bynum will likely represent the lakers....
and i think shaq will sneak in this year, due to phoenix

fans only pick starters, and imo duncan/yao are the sure fire starting 4/5 with probably melo getting the other forward spot. going by the number of big men on the team last yr, that leaves 4 more spots for big men.

as a starter, yes but i don't think there is much hope to get pau into the starting lineup. as a pf/center, yao and shaq are most def. competition. yao takes a center spot away, so that affects pau.

not counting bynum out, but i don't think there are that many spots available for both of them. are pau/bynum going to be able to bump out both boozer and west? we'll see.

Unless he's chinese... i doubt he'll have enougn votes to get in.
But since that controversial racial team pict they did with their slanted eyes joke.. i doubt it even more. i'd say it's a no go... even though i'll be voting for him.

fans only vote for starters. the fan vote isn't really going to affect pau since he's going to be a reserve.

He deserves it and since Phil's going to be coaching, most likely it'd make 3 Lakers at the ASG.

I think Kobe and Pau should get in.
Unless Bynum picks it up with a strong December I don't know if he gets a coaches selection........

Yeah the fans vote for starters only.
Hopefully he gets in.
He actually deserves it. This wouldn't be like BJ Armstrong getting in.
I think he will be in the allstar game.
I wonder if Bynum has an outside chance.
Maybe the Lakers won't lose more then 2 games by then and they will all get in.

Kobe and Pau might make it. I do not see Bynum making it for a few more seasons. He needs a lot of more pub and exposure.

Dont forget there are also a lot of spaniards that will vote for him... anyway, i think duncan/yao will be starters.
