I posted this on the General Board but I would love to hear my teammates opinion as well since I think 2 of the players are Lakers and they were a part of the threepeat era, but I reed an article about this last night and I was wondering.
Who would you consider to tbe the MVP of the decade, and it begins from 1998 to 2008.

Duncan
Kobe
Shaq
Nash
K.G

Who?
I think its tough but Im going to have to say Shaq.

i agree with shaq. the fact that he's still pretty good this season really helps his case, since it would be easy to put him behind duncan if he was following up last yr's disaster with another one.

Toss up between Shaq or Duncan, the anchors of a combined seven championships during the span in question.

I'd tend to lean towards Duncan, because he's been so much more consistent/dependable, and a better defensive player. But his peak never came close to reaching Shaq's, whose level of play during the championship years was simply incredible. Plus, he also has fourth ring, but as a supporting player. Just depends on what you prefer, I suppose. Both are/were awesome.

Beyond that it's Kobe, the second-best shooting guard of all time and a Top 15 player; Garnett, one of the most versatile players ever; and Nash, who despite his two MVP awards is nowhere near the other four, in my opinion.

I'd replace Iverson with Nash, then we'd have the five best players from this decade.
