KEYS TO VICTORY
Play for 48 minutes! The Lakers dropped both games in Florida with Andrew Bynum basically a no show and in Orlando he and Pau Gasol we virtual no shows together. Bynum had 3 points & 1 (yes that is correct) rebound while Pau had 11 & 7. That wasn't enough production against Orlando when they basically have Howard only to contend with down low. The Hornets have Tyson Chandler & David West, Bynum & Gasol have to show up big.

LAST GAME
After surrenduring 57 points in the 1st half & being behind 57-49 the squad finally did what we all have been asking of them PLAYED DEFENSE. We held them to 39 points in the second half & outscored them 56-39 in the secod half & held them under 100 points.
Drew & Pau
Our twin towers played much better in Memphis. After a horrible 1st half where he picked up 3 quick & silly fouls Bynum roared back in the 2nd half & finished the game with 13 points & 4 boards. Pau responded with 15 & 7 in the 1st game against his brother & initial return to Memphis since they traded him to us & he was solid all night. If they can play at this level or higher against the Hornets we should be able to even up this road trip

DEFENSE
All season long we havent been able to stop even mediocre point guards so It's almost a safe bet that Chris Paul will have a field day on us. Nevertheless we have to find a way to start getting the job done. Team defense is the key.

BENCH MOB

They need to rekindle the fire they had last season and be a boost when they come in during their stretches.

Is this meant to signify our team's tendency to look ahead?

Nice GT anklebreaker, so far we've been up in the Hornets grill for a minute. But the way things are going now.........just don't know what to expect from game to game.

LOL this thread is a symbol of our season. Overlooking opponents not named Boston, which is our downfall. I can see espn get all over this story once the lakers are eliminated in may or June. They will rag on LA for not being interested in any games unless it was Boston and that's why they lost etc.

Anyway back on topic, the Hornets struggled early in the season but now holds the 2 be best record in the WC. While we started off doing well and ppl got the ridiculous idea that we were going 73-9 as there was a new 70 or 73 thread each day. Now we suck so obviously we lose and NO creeps closer to us.

3 days and counting to a Boston massacure in LA.

^^ Crazyeights & minhee, did you guys forget we had to sign up for GT's? lol. Naw not looking ahead at all. My work schedule gets so erratic at times & I didn't want to let you guys down by not having a GT.

If we win this game, wouldn't that mean that a win against the Celtics is win #1000 for Phil?

What a great way to get it. The Lakers should use that for extra motivation for this game, or something.

CP3 = MVP ;)

Nice game thread, really looking forward to this one, sorry to troll on your board, but you know, theres no-one on the Hornets board to keep me entertained...

Not sure if Peja is playing tonight, we'll prolly start CP3 / Devin Brown / Rasual Butler / D West / Tyson.

That unit is surprisingly much better balanced than the unit w/ MoPete & Peja, and if Posey can contain Bryant down the stretch we're in with a big chance I hope.
