Hoops world...Lamar maybe going soon

http://www.hoopsworld.com/ At least this is a sign that maybe Phil knows this team can't beat Boston.

Also read yesterday that Ariza could become too rich for the Lakers' to keep which is also interesting. Maybe Ariza will get dealt if they are gonna get nothing for him next season.

Then we have the Farmar being out for an extended period of time, which would lend you to believe where ever Lamar goes the Lakers' would be looking for a backup point guard. Not sure if any team meets those needs but it is possible that their is a 3 way deal in the works.

Cool, well Lamar can come back in the offseason, I don't give a rats ass how much money he costs if we need someone else, and we do.

I think a game like tonight, if the Lakers' lose could have an impact on the roster shakeup. At least for the sake of changing the attitude that seems to have become passive. I almost think the triangle hurts a few players on this team, in that they can't do anything, other than Kobe, outside of the rules of the offense or be sent to the bench.

Even the pick and rolls the Lakers' run are bad, they let the defense re set, they don't go for a quick screen and roll they wait for days, Jerry Sloan would go crazy if he saw this.

I think I've finally understood why Bynum sets up so far from the basket. They want him to be at the ready to give that stupid screen. That makes no sense considering this is Kobe Bryant he can get around practically anyone he wants to get around. Pulling a second defender there is just stupidity especially because Bynum can't pop.

I think the other problem is Kobe don't go full speed into the screen he is always stopping or looking for something else. You see any other team and the screen only works if you go full speed, not giving the defense time to recover. When PP comes to town, or Utah or Phoenix plays you will see how it supposed to be done. Even Garnett does a great job w/ the screen in the lane for Rondo, Lakers' are to busy teaching the triangle than teaching how to set a screen and roll.

Laker fans rejoice!!!

No more weed-like plays, no more inconsistent games, no more 30 minute-3pts-3rebs-1assist games, no more Lamar Odom!!!!

Then you can say that Pau is the problem too because we were steam-rolling teams before Bynum got injured. The point is, both Bynum and Pau are better than Odom and we need to build around them, not Odom.

I'm wondering:

- How would a lineup of

PG: Vujajic/Fisher
SG: Kobe
SF: Gerald Wallace
PF: Gasol
C: Bynum

do against Boston? I know that it would somewhat deplete spacing but the Cavaliers have zero spacing with Ben Wallace in the game yet they play Boston close because they rebound and play very tough defense.

That article is about as fake as the racks on a lot of the babes here in LA. Media propaganda at it's fullest.

I think they're always shopping everyone, passively or actively. I'm sure the phone has rung red with inquiries for Odom already. Too bad Jordan went down with that injury. Now they can't trade him even if they wanted to.

Although I would love to trade Lamar for someone like G Wallace and inject some much needed life into our lineup. I know better than to get excited as this article was written over at Hoopsworld which features Eric Pincus as their "credible" sports writer.

I honestly believe a Gerald Wallace and Raymond Felton for Odom solves all our problems. Lakers finally get that sf who by the way would give Pierce fits who can guard the other teams best player and a true playmaking pg. This really would be one of those trades that both teams drastically improve from.

You guys are missing a simple fact, LO can't be traded since we committed money to Bynum...Next year we will have Gasol ($15 million), Bynum ($13.5 million) and KB24 ($23 million) therefore we can't take back another $10 million in salary without an expiring (Matrix for example)... The only way a trade happens is if we send Ariza or Bynum (untouchable for some reason) with a terrible contract (Walton or Radman) to improve the roster...

The most likely scenario is Ariza ($2.7 million ) and Radman ($6 million) for an impact one or three (shake up the roster and become more aggressive) but how much does that really help us... Unfortunately, I don't see anything significant happening...
