KEYS TO VICTORY
Keep up the intensity. We have been playing well so let's keep it up for 48 minutes. Guards have to do their best to stop CP3 from easy penetration to help keep our bigs out of foul trouble.

LAST GAME
Lakers started slow but finished well to recapture best record in the NBA holding The Trailblazers to just 36 second half points. Even though they were without Brandon Roy, the Royless Blazers had just defeated the then best record holding Celtics so the Lakers did a great job staying focused & bringing home the victory 100-86.

LAST MEETING
In our last meeting against the killer bee's we out lasted them 100-87 in a game where we had to survive a late surge. Drew & Pau need to play big again against Tyson Chandler & David West. Last time out Chandler had 9 & 10 & West 13 & 6 while Drew had 13 & 7 & Pau went for 20 & 7.

over the course of ten days, lakers go from being 3.5 games behind boston to now being 0.5 games behind with 3 games in hand...

keep up the good form! HCA very much within our reach

hopefully NOH wont put up much fight again...

^^ I looked up the despairity in games when they won that 19 straight. After the month was over they only gained 1 game on us in that stretch overall. When a team gets on a roll sometimes you just have to hang in there until they cool off. So hopefully we wont cool off & their grip starts to slip from holding on too long

Awesome thread! No need to waste time, huh? :)

Lakers are rolling, Celtics are in that post-win streak funk. Now is the time to capitalize.

Remember 1999-2000? The Lakers' 16- and 19-game win streaks? Their record in between those was something like 6-6. Until Boston figures something out, they're treading water. Every game is a must win and another chance to build towards HCA. No taking games off.

Go Lakers!

^^Yep. we have to remaine focused because we have Boston Feb 5th & we dont want to let them use us as the catapult like we did them. Even if we are not on a winning streak we have to go in the garden & compete or they will regain confidence no matter what they were doing before that

Things are going to get dull again until the marquee Kobe vs Lebron match up but its important to keep winning and not losing focus.

I don't think it's going to get dull as we play some pretty good teams prior to facing the Cavs. Indiana and Miami are revenge games (immediately following this one), then we play @HOU, @SAS, and ORL, all of which should have playoff type atmospheres.

Big game. Lock down, bring the intensity early. Force New Orleans to play from behind again.

stop penetration from paul...let him be a scorer, and this game is in the bag.
