i would have to agree, and I'd never thought I'd ever support re-signing Coby Karl.

but for 10 days (or 20 if we do two of em), i'm game.

Damn, all this time I was thinking Kobe Carl was still on the team because he's on my 2K9 roster.

Things are pretty thin with back to back games coming up this is not good at all. D Fish might have to go the distance versus Alston and Parker.

Fish, Kobe, Bynum, Gasol, VLad....Ariza, Powell not good against 2 solid teams and the Cavs and the Magic looming as well.

I hate putting extra miles on our starters so soon into the season. Hope they take a look at Coby or Crawford for a roster spot. Either of them would be much better than Sun Yue!

I still think Coby Karl has untapped playmaking talents. I'd be fine with either one.

What ever happened to Jay Williams the point guard the Bulls had a few years ago. I know he was in an accident and he attempted a comeback and was trying out for teams. Seems like he just fell of the edge of the B Ball scene.

Even the Jason Williams, the white one, would be ok for a little time, or is his knees done too.

White Chocolate is retired. Even if he decided to play, I think his rights would be with the Clippers first because he signed with them before retiring.

Is there any particular reason that we didn't send Sun to the d-league from the get-go?

It seems to me that he would have greatly benefited from playing against NBA-level (or just below) competition to get his ball handling and play-making abilities up to speed, which is precisely what we need right about now since we lack a solid PG rotation with the injury to Farmar. We could have recalled him right about now and I'm willing to bet that he could have been in better position to contribute as a result.

Hasn't he already played D-league ball for a few years already? I think the Lakers coaches are bombarding him with the triangle offense and other fundamentals, to get him up to speed as quickly as possible.

I guess we'll get to see how well Ariza plays the point tonight. Finally. I've been waiting for this day.

Yeah, Sun specifically said he felt strongly about not going down and it would be an insult. I cannot find the link, but I know that is what I read or heard. Might have been a John Ireland segment.

At this point, I'm more wondering if the fact Coby isn't back on a 10 day is just lag timing, we aren't getting anyone, or we are stalling trying to sew up Pargo or a trade.

Has he? I don't recall him spending any time in the D-league, unless you're referring to his time with the Chinese national team, which I don't think compares.

If I'm not mistaken, we run the triangle offense on our D-league squad, so he would still learn the fundamentals of the system against talent that is much better than what he faced in China. I think that's better than having him sit on the bench and only play during practice.
