rockets reserves: Brent Barry ,Luther Head, Von Wafer , Aaron Brooks
ImageImageImageImage

Keys to the game...defense, defense defense...also get andrew bynum involved early...and feed him...stop giving up the easy dunks...this should be a great test as well as a tune up for our tough road schedule...

EDIT...due to our current injury bug this will be a very hard fought battle, and we must, i repeat MUST tighten up our game significantly, we must go in thinking playoffs, we MUST go into into their building and be singular with our defense....

We must be the bamboo, we must bend, yet never break....kobe, pau and andrew must all have great games...

and while the rockets certainly have their issues with injuries as well, that does not mean we can let off the gas pedal...

we must go for the win at the opening tip, we must start working ourselves into playoff mentality....our 3 month home stand is almost over....

key word for the game....MUST!!!

Should be a good one tonight. Game is on Raptors TV for all us Canadian folks.

I think this is a must win game. They don't have McGrady, and it's likely that our starters will play heavy minutes, so tonight is the night we need to perform.

Tomorrow we'll be playing San Antonio and I'd rather not face the possibility of a 2 game losing streak.

Go Lakers!

Rockets are without T-Mac and Artest so y'all should blow us out.

Damn... no kidding. We should take this game convincingly. Didn't realize Artest was out as well. This would be an incredibly crappy loss for us if that turned out to be the case. One thing I know for sure is that our guys will compensate for your loss and play at a lower level just to make things interesting.

An injured team vs. an injured team. Going to be a tough game for both of us i'd say.

Mcgrady and Artest are out and we have farmer, LO, sasha, and luke out...

Kobe and fisher yet another probably 40mins game... just hope our depleted reserves don't make any bone headed plays making them player longer. Pau and Bynum needs to contain Yao and rule the boards.

Go Lakers!

Watch out for Aaron Brooks tongiht. IIRC we've had problems with him...now factor in our injury problems.

Haven't heard anything about Lamar, but if so, that's gonna help a lot, especially since Sasha is doubtful.

PG: Derek Fisher [34]/ Kobe Bryant [8]/ Lamar Odom [6]
SG: Kobe Bryant [28]/ Trevor Ariza [12]/ Sun Yue [8]
SF: Vladimir Ramanovic [24]/ Trevor Ariza [24]/
PF: Pau Gasol [24]/ Lamar Odom [18]/ Josh Powell [6]
C: Andrew Bynum [30]/ Pau Gasol [12]/ Josh Powell [6]

Derek Fisher: 34 minutes
Kobe Bryant: 36 minutes
Lamar Odom: 24 minutes
Vladimir Radmanovic: 24 minutes
Trevor Ariza: 36 minutes
Sun Yue: 8 minutes
Pau Gasol: 34 minutes
Andrew Bynum: 30 minutes
Josh Powell: 12 minutes

9 man rotation.. play some Odom/Kobe/Ariza/Powell/Bynum lineup. That would be interesting. With Sasha out, and pretty much no backup point guard, I think we could see a lot of Odom in the back court. We also keep Odom's minutes down to a respectable 24. There's no reason to send him out on the court for 30 minutes right now, first game off a knee injury.

And with Ariza and Kobe in there with LO, we could let Ariza defend the point guard and have Odom guard Ariza's man. Gives us some flexibility.

thanks for the props guys...as far as i am concerned the playoff preperation starts tonite...this game should be akin to shining the shoes the night before church...

weve punched the majority of our home cooking meal tickets, and now we to be savvy about where and what our take-out will be...if we choose poor dim-sum in houston tonight, will that lead to a bad burrito in the riverwalk?

if we are smart, we can use this formidable trip to bush country to sharpen out steak knives while our roster is currently on a diet...

btw, me and the girl are going to northwoods inn tonight...can you tell i am hungry?

big game for drew. he's playing the best ball he's played since hurting his knee, big test tonight.

barely realized he's already surpassed his game total from last yr. 35 games seems like nothing

I missed most of it, but Ireland says both teams have 3 guys out:

McGrady, Artest, and Head for the Rockets

Luke, Farmar, and ??? for the Lakers? Is LO gonna play?

lamar is playing!!!

http://www.latimes.com/sports/basketbal ... 2135.story

"Reporting from Houston -- One in, but one out.

Lakers forward Lamar Odom will play tonight against the Houston Rockets after sitting out three games because of a bone bruise in his right knee, but guard Sasha Vujacic will not play because of back spasms."

i wouldn't be surprised if lamar plays some sf for the first time all yr.
