Lakers' looking at Dickau, Gill and Ahearn....

Post#1 » by lakeshow248 » Wed Jan 14, 2009 12:12 am

As per wire tap.. Looks like the 10 day contract thing might be in affect with one of these guys. I was looking at Ahearn's stats and they are decent in the D league last year he was .439 from 3 pt range and .960 from the free throw line. He also averaged 19 ppg and only 3 ast.

Never heard of him but seems like a shoot first point guard but who knows, I don't like Dickau or Gill's shooting what so ever so, it is hard to choose from. Not sure why Coby Karl wasn't in this mix.http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... nd_ahearn/

I say we just wait it out for everyone to get healthy. If Pargo becomes available during that time, than we should sign him. He's getting paid late, and apparently his agent is working on getting him out of there.

Blake Ahearn played at Misouri State for like 4 years and many guys at my college gym say that he belongs in the NBA. He's a very disciplined player and played for a demanding coach. Another thing is that he lead whatever league he played in FT% since he was in 4th grade!

I don't have time to research it now, but I read last week somewhere that Pargo is looking to get back to the NBA.

For once, can't we react to our problems quicker than this? At it stands, four men out of our nine men rotation are hurt and we have literally no back court backup at all (let's face it, Sun is not ready for the NBA or this team yet). Maybe those guys aren't the greatest there is, but we can't expect Fisher to play 40 min a game every game. We need to bring guys in for 10 day contracts and play them just so our starters can at least get some kind of rest period. The way our management is going at it, we'd be lucky if we sign anyone before the all star break, by that time, every injured player would have returned already. This sit on our asses and wait till disaster happens attitude was what killed this team before.
