Key Matchup of the Game

Andrew Bynum vs Dwight Howard
The star of the Orlando Magic is "Superman" Dwight Howard and unfortunately for Drew, he's a beast. I think this is the key to the game. If Dwight goes off for 25 and 20, I don't think we'll have much chance at winning. Andrew has to body him up and do so without getting in foul trouble. Hopefully the referees let the big guys bang inside and not call chippys as they did when the Lakers played in Orlando. Drew has to watch out for the Alley-Oop dunks, and he has to box out Howard and keep him off the boards. Drew also has to get on the boards himself, only averaging 5 rebounds the last 10 games. On the offensive end, go at Howard. Try to get him into foul trouble, and make him work on the defensive end.

Key To A Lakers Win
- Game Tempo: I think we have to keep a good mix, and get the game to our tempo. When transition opportunities are there, we have to exploit them and our big guys especially, have to get down the court in a hurry. When it's not there, we can't force it. And when we run back on transition defense, besides Andrew on Dwight, we have to run to the 3 point line, not the basket.
- Pound The Ball Inside: A huge key to the game. Pound the ball into Pau and Andrew early. Gasol will be guarded by Rashard Lewis on most occasions, and Pau has to exploit that. He's not big or strong enough to hang with Pau down low on the box. When Drew gets touches, he has to attack Dwight Howard and see if we can get a couple early fouls called on Dwight.
- Perimeter Defense: The biggest key to the game. Orlando is an outside shooting team. They've lined up the roster with 3 point shooters, and we have to play good perimeter defense. The Magic hit an NBA record 23 three pointers in a rout against Sacramento on Tuesday night. If something even similar to that happens, I REALLY do not like our chances. If we can keep their long bombs respectable, about 6-9 makes, than we have a good shot. Outside of Howard, they have no inside game whatsoever.

GO LAKERS!!!!
