thats right, an injured lakers player is actually AHEAD of schedule.
http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... _schedule/Lakers' guard Jordan Farmar appears to be ahead of schedule in his return from knee surgery after having participated in shooting drills on Monday.
"I don't even know what the schedule is," Farmar said, "but I feel good."
He has missed 15 games with torn cartilage in his left knee and is expected to return near the All-Star break. The team, however, is cautiously optimistic that he could return sooner.
great news, since it seems like fish is dying out there.

This is great news but knowing our luck with injuries there has got to be something else behind this. It's too good to be true.

nah it can't be true... i've had my meniscus torn a few times and im pretty sure it doesnt heal that fast... given mine was completely removed because it was beyond repair, he'll be out for a while. in a perfect world i'd say early march... dr. lombardo (the guy who did jordan's surgery) is the same doctor that put me thru physical therapy.

^^ Its reported that he's doing full length scrimmage and dunked in practice. So, I'd say 1 week at the max.
Anyways I just hope this means that Sun Yue won't be wearing the P&G anytime soon. Its a little sad how he got to wear the Lakers colors that easily.

Not all injuries are the same, nor does everybody heal the same way. This was described as a relatively minor thing from the get go as far as knee injuries go, so this doesn't surprise me. Hopefully Jordan used this time wisely to refresh himself mentally and get back to where he was in the preseason. He can give us a huge boost if he's got his game right.

Great news! just hope he's ahead of schedule on better defence. Build of his character should be running around PGs everywhere... i wonder why his d isn't at least par with the most of them..

He may play this Sunday.
Lakers reserve guard Jordan Farmar might practice Friday or Saturday and could be available to play Sunday against San Antonio.

^^ wow, thats soon!
and hope the coaching staff arent too harsh on him, it seems like they wanted jordan to be the offensive spark, to up the tempo, but also to play with a veteran headiness and be able to defend the better point guards every game but forget hes still a very young player as well
nothing like championship aspirations to force you to learn on the fly...

hopefully he comes back with his mind on basketball and not his role.
i really cant stand Fisher's chucking, which always seems to come in the middle of a good run.

Nice to hear that he might be back this soon. The extra minutes are taking their toll on Fisher, and I think Farmar has a lot to prove since his meeting with Phil. I'm looking forward to seeing if his last effort (when he was injured) was a fluke or not, as he came out very intense and played the best defense I'd ever seen from him.
